Never been to DLP

Never been to DLP before only to orlando every year(live in Wisconsin, U.S.A). Any opinions if I should continue doing what I am doing or should I make a trip to DLP. Iwould hate to be disspointed. Is it only one park? How long is the flight? How are the hotels compared to Disney World hotels. What language is mainly spoken over there? Any ingo would be great!!!
