Hi Everyone. I am taking my son to Universal Nov 9-15 which means we will have Mon-Fri as park days because we have long flights on the Sunday and Saturday as we are coming from western Canada. I have booked a room at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort but am stuck on the tickets.

I am a single mom and have taken my two boys to Disney three times in the past little bit so my oldest has had enough of this type of vacation and because of this I am bringing my youngest who loves Harry Potter but have promised my oldest that I will take him on his own vacation in May which makes money a bit tighter for this trip.

I am thinking that we will either do 4 day park to park tickets with the unlimited express pass and then have one relaxing day or do the Orlando Flex Ticket so we can enjoy Sea World and maybe one of the waterparks.

So I guess my questions are, do you think that the express passes will be necessary during the week we will be there and do you think that 4 days at the parks will be too much? Just want to make this a great trip for my youngest because it's looking like I am going to have to branch out after this whether I like it or not.

TIA

the first week in november is not crowded.
the parks quiet down once halloween hard ticket event is over.

second week also a good time to go for lower crowds.

with HP2 opening this summer, i don't know if it will have any effect crowd wise for your trip.
don't think it will, but that is my guess.

you should be safe with your dates, especially since you will be doing weekdays at the park.

hold off in buying the unlimited express tickets until you are in the park or closer to the date for your trip.
you can check the prices for the unlimited express on the UO website now.
the higher the cost reflects the crowd level for the date/s you put in.

there are no express lines for main ride in pottersville, but it is valid for dragon challenge and hippogrip or however it is spelled.
i still call it the Unicorn.

you will be allowed early entry since staying at Cbay.
use that early hour to your advantage.

i think it is a good idea to plan for 4 park days.
you can do repeat rides/shows as much as you want.
if weather is good, you always have the pool at Cbay.

city walk could take up a portion of your evening.
shops, restaurants, mini golf, theater is a fun way to spend one of your nights while there.

i know there are free bus shuttles from the 3 deluxe hotels to SeaWorld, Aquatica, Wet & Wild.
i don't know if this perk is available to those at Cbay.
maybe someone will post that it is.........

i hope you have a fantastic trip with your son!!

after rereading my reply, i note that you are buying the 4 day PtP w/unlimited express.
I would have to look at the UO website to see that choice.
i have an AP and not familiar with the pass you mention.

I would get the 4 day park to park tickets. With the new Harry Potter expansion you will want to take it all in!

Your older son is not interested in Universal? I would show him the Universal website. It is an amazing place and has a lot of thrills. I don't know how old your kids are but it really is a totally different experience then Disney!

Ya I think we will just do the 4 day park to park tickets. I might hold off on the unlimited express until we are there and can see how busy it is.

My oldest son is 13 and really has no interest in going. He is just a history buff and wants to go to New York City to go to all the museums and stuff so we are going to do that. It is had for me to imagine doing this without him but I know it will be special for both of them to have one on one time with me.
