Hi, everyone. I was wondering if anyone has used NetGrocer to have items delivered to their WDW hotel before arriving? I'm thinking of ordering a case of bottled water and maybe a few other things from them to save time and energy.

If you've used them, what was your experience? I want the good, the bad and the ugly. I see that I would need to place the order by Monday for the items to be at the hotel by Friday Dec. 20 when we arrive. The shipping charges doesn't even look that bad at all!.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Jody

Have not used netgrocer, but we have used the local WeGoShop.com. The rates were good and he was very prompt.

Good luck.

Nevermind. My DH called our hotel and found out that they no longer accept shipments for guests. It seems that, in the past, guests have gotten angry if a box was damaged and blamed Disney for it. THEREFORE, the new rule is: if a package comes for a guest staying at the resorts, they deny delivery. Only the Vacation Club resorts will accept packages for guests.

I guess that I can understand them doing this. It always takes just a few jerks to ruin something for everyone.

Oh, well. My DH says that he'll take a taxi to a grocery store to get me the bottled water I need for our trip. I'm 7 months pregnant and have a fear of dehydration.

How are you getting from the airport to the resort and back? If your using Mears consider using a towncar service instead. Just a bit more than Mears r/t for 2 (btw 70-85 total) and they will do a complimentary grocery stop on the way to your resort. We save enough in snacks, breakfast and beverage to justify the cost. And it would definately be less than mears + r/t grocery/ taxi run.

An added bonus is not having to wait in the "cattle call" for Mears and then visit numerous resorts on the way to yours. Towncar driver waits in the baggage area and then takes you directly to your resort (via supermarket if you wish).

I have used Tiffany Towncar for the past several years and been very happy. If you want more info hop over to the transportation board for lots of great recommendations and suggestions.

Have a great trip.

Another vote for www.wegoshop.com

They were prompt, my order was complete and as requested.

And the owners have the cutest little new baby!
