Netflix

I've been using Netflix for over 3 years now. I was using the mail service, 2 movies a month at $14.99. My kids gave me my first blu ray player as an early mother's day gift a few days ago. It has the wifi built in so as soon as I connected the player to my tv, up pops the app for netflix. Within minutes, all the movies & tv shows were available. I called Netflix to get the run down and finds out I was already set up for unlimited streaming and the 2 movies in the mail for $14.99 a month! I'm watching season 1 of Weeds, and I'm LOVING my new toy! I've been totally missing out! I'm planning on watching the tv shows. Sons of Anarchy, Brothers and Sisters, and brush up on the classics.

I loooove the online streaming! It's a very nice option to have when there's nothing good on tv. 2 movies a month for $14.99? I have streaming and unlimited movies per month (out 1 at a time) and I pay $9.99. :confused3

I just called Netflix I wanted to know about that $9.99 a month charge. Customer service told me that 1 movie by mail and unlimited streaming is $9.99 a month. 2 movies by mail and unlimited streaming is $14.99 a month. They have the BEST customer service, they are always so friendly!

Ohhh, I gotcha. I thought you were limited to two movies a month rather than being able to get two movies at a time. I was calling shennanigans!

Netflix has a "top 100 list" on their website. This is a great place to look for things. Plus - when ever you see "yellow" stars that rate a movie, if you've seen that movie (anywhere, not just on Netflix) you can change it to what you would have rated it. Then the ratings turn red.

Netflix will then start to recommend things to you based on other movies you've enjoyed.

One thing we do with netflix is - if we see a commercial on TV for a movie that is just being released to the theaters - we will add it to our cue if think we will like it. It will go into an unreleased cue, but when it does get released to Netflix, it will automatically bump into your regular cue.

I think I'm going to start doing that with movies I want to see. If it's something I REALLY want to see (POTC, HP), I'll just go to the movies. But some of the chick flicks or corny movies I think I'll like but don't want to pay $10 for, I'll add to my Netflix. ;)
