Netflix vs Blockbuster

I currently have Netflix but I am thinking of switching to Blockbuster. Does Blockbuster also have the on-demand movies/shows like Netflix? I tried to look through their site but couldn't tell.

Don't do it. They do not stream movies in the same fee. I believe it is an extra $9.99 to do it.

Why would you do that?

Blockbuster does have movie kiosks you can use, but the movies cost more than Redbox. We don't even have a Blockbuster store here anymore (did they keep some open?). And though they do streaming like Netflix (we have the app on our BluRay) I believe they cost more than Netflix too.

Netflix offers a limited number of movies for viewing on demand. Included with your netflix subscription.

Blockbuster has an extensive number of movies available on demand. Most of the movies have a per viewing charge.

We also have unlimited in store exchanges, 2 free movie/video game rental a month, and can get video games instead of movies through blockbuster. much better for us with the kids. I know netflix did not have the latest movies in streaming when we used it at my parents over Christmas. If you have a local blockbuster, you can just drop your envelope off and get the new release dvd right then(which we use all the time with the kids).

I'd stick with NF. I've used both and NF wins hands down. Their customer service is superb. If they are even a little late with a disc, they send the next one on your list. Never any question or hassle about broken/missing/lost discs. When there is an outage, they automatically credit your account, even if you weren't affected.
