I am contemplating cutting cable.:confused3 It infuriates me that loyal customers pay 150 per month while new customers pay 75. Grrr.... Anyway, which is better? Pros/Cons to either are apprecitated. THanks!!

I have Netflix however if you are trying to watch current stuff then go HULU. I think they have new stuff although I know they were getting into issues with running current stuff. So depends on what you watch really.

I have not cut my cable though.

Hulu is lame. u pay $10 and u still have to watch commercials.

How many channels do you get to watch?

it goes by the list of TV shows u watch. Its not really channels. U browse through the TV shows u like and if its there, u hit play, watch a 30 sec commercial and then watch the show. Im not sure if it does it half way or not, its been awhile.

Hulu = more TV shows.
Netflix = more movies with TV shows.

U should go try it, both have trials. I personally like Netflix better but i dont really watch it anymore... just recently cancelled.

You get to watch pretty much everything on ABC, NBC, and Fox. CBS doesn't have an agreement with them, so those shows aren't online. You can also watch past seasons.

Netflix, however, rarely has shows that are currently on air--it's a great thing to do rather than to rent movies, but it doesn't replace live television. It used to have a much larger selection of movies online, but it cut back.

To replace TV, I'd go Hulu. However, perhaps the worst thing (for my fiance, anyway) is that you can't watch tons of live sports.

I have both. I use Hulu to watch current shows and netflix older shows and movies. Hulu has some older show like "The Practice" also. One thing that happened to me last night was hulu wouldnt let me watch Pretty Little Liars on my wii I had to watch it on the computer which isnt a big deals because I hook my laptop up thru hdmi but i pay $8 for hulu plus so I dont have to do that. I dont know if they have that for many shows because that was the first time it happened to me.

CBS shows are online, you are just stuck watching them on cbs.com. Not the greatest way to see them.

Anyway, a friend of mine is currently doing both Hulu and Netflix she loves it. A great replacement for cable(though we shall see come next college basketball season) Since they really are such different products and neither 1 is expensive. Why not try both together for awhile and see how it goes?

Honestly, I switch back and forth. While shows that I really want to watch immediately are on the air, and then come on to Hulu, I put my Netflix account on hold. When the seasons are over, I put Hulu on hold. It's really easy to do both. Months where I want both, it's still only $17, so it's not really killing my checkbook.
