I binge watched the series . Wow. I was not really aware of him and how the things he did were inspirations for movies.

i recall watching an old documentary on gein that included some interviews with people who lived in the area. one of the most disturbing things they shared was how after his 'habits' became public, despite ed's insistence that he never committed actual cannibalism- the friends, neighbors and acquaintances that he routinely gifted what he had claimed were prepared sausages and meats from his hunting trips never stopped questioning what they may have unknowingly consumed.

I watched it, and I don't know why :rotfl2:

It was very disturbing, and I definitely had to look away during several scenes. I DID find it interesting. I always liked the actor who played him. I dunno, I have mixed feelings about it. The man was a monster, but from what I saw in that show they really made us feel a lot of sympathy for him at the same time. Very confusing and uncomfortable.

if you watch these types of shows I recommend the movie 'my friend dahmer' which is based on a graphic novel by a high school friend of dahmer. interesting perspective. filmed in dahmer's actual childhood home. stars a former Disney kid actor-ross lynch of 'austin and ally'.

The next one will be be about Lizzie Borden .

I agree upthread I was disgusted by the acts , but moments you could see his psychosis was heartbreaking.

And as always the theme of the “ booger man” is t usually scary and the one you would suspect.
