I've been buzzing through the Netflix Instant list and am running out of interesting choices.

Right now I'm watching "When in Rome" which just rolled over to instant last week, it's cute and I'm enjoying it but when I look at my INSTANT queue it's sad. Anyone have any good recommendations?

Well it depends...what kind of movies and TV shows do you like? My queue is so full I can't add anything else. Now THAT'S sad!

We've only had Instant for about a week, but I am loving all the choices. Not only am I going through the new releases, but I am rediscovering some oldies going back to my childhood. I'm not sure what to recommend to you, but I can say that I am finding a lot of movies and shows that I never knew existed and it's taking up a large portion in my queue. Are there any specific genres you like?

We love foreign films so about half of our queue is filled with those. A good portion is TV shows we never really watched or kept track of. Right now we're watching the X-Files.

What I do to find movies is go through the list of genres on their website and look at the ratings. If it's something I don't know and it has like 3.5 stars or more, I will most likely add it. First I click on the title and scan through the most recent reviews to get a feel for the movie to make sure it's something I would be interested in. I've found a lot of good movies this way, especially for foreign films.

We watched the princess and the frog for the first time last week on instant.. its very cute if you haven't seen it. I have a lot of kid stuff in my instant so I'm not sure I would be of help. lol

I've been watching all of the TLC shows, since we don't get that channel. It's been keeping me busy. I finally get the whole Jon and Kate thing....a little behind the times, but I'm almost done with season three. It's kind of weird watching it now, knowing that they have since divorced. Anyway, she's a wackjob. And he's no prize either!

We are currently watching old Masterpiece Theater things...Elizabeth R is in the queue. We really liked a Canadian comedy series called Slings and Arrows about a Shakesperian theater group.

I just looked at my instant queue. I have Confessions of a Shopaholic, New in Town, The Proposal (so good!!!!), Julie and Julia, Dear John and some tv shows... Lie to Me and Man vs. Food plus a bunch of other things, but that's some of the better stuff. I tend to like a whole lot of random movies

Well, my instant queue is HUGE, because I like to re-watch things, plus I like a lot of strange things. ;) But, anyway, here's some of what is on mine:

Trailer Park Boys
The X-Files (all seasons)
Prison Break (all seasons)
National Lampoon's Vacation
The Big Lebowski
Jarhead
Bolt
To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything
Zach Galifianakis: Live
A League of Their Own
MythBusters (collections 1, 2, 3)
Persepolis
Welcome to the Dollhouse
Born into Brothels
South Park (all seasons)
Who the #$&% is Jackson Pollock?
Man vs. Food (seasons 1 & 2)
Penelope
Deadliest Catch (season 5)
Arrested Development (all seasons)
Becoming Jane
Gonzo
My Kid Could Paint That
Priceless
King of the Hill (all seasons)
Grande École
Futurama (all seasons)
Sick
Outsourced
Pawn Stars (seasons 1 & 2)

ETA: Just realized I didn't even list my favorites! I'm a huge sucker for any show that is on Showtime.. Weeds, The Tudors, Californication, Dexter, Nurse Jackie. All of these are AMAZING.

I like American Pickers, Paranormal State, The office, I have some law & orders on there but haven't watched them too much other stuff to watch! Parks and recreation is new (I think haven't seen it on there before tonight) Just noticed Babies is on instant watch. Ice Road truckers is good too... Just got into that one! Oh one of my favorites is Top Gear... FUNNY!!! I <3 BBC America!

Top Gear is so much fun! But have toss in a vote for Doctor Who as well (what kickstarted my British TV love).

I LOVE the Mythbusters collections. I've also been looking through the National Geographic documentaries lately and am currently watching (literally, it's open in another window) one of those true life serial killer movies. This one's about Ted Bundy. It's pretty boring, though.

Recommendations:

Pandorum (I LOVED this movie, and I really wasn't expecting anything from it)
Any of the Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes
Stargate Atlantis
Sleepless In Seattle
The Deaths of Ian Stone
Dolan's Cadillac (based on a short story by Stephen King and I actually thought it was very good, although not as good as the source material)
30 Second Bunnies Theater (parodies of movies done in 30 seconds with animated bunnies)
Carriers
Memento
Heat
Law Abiding Citizen (I loved Gerard Butler in this, but may no longer be available)
Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog (may no longer be available)
Pushing Daisies
Dead Like Me
Eddie Izzard: Dress to Kill (my favorite comedian ever)
Any of the horror genre documentaries (can you tell my favorite genre?)
Killer Klowns From Outer Space (it's really really bad, but oh well :))
The Muppets Take Manhattan
Short Circuit
Monsters Inc
Iron Man
Phantasm
An American Werewolf In London

We have only had it for a few weeks, but we are watching Season 1 of 24 with Keifer Sutherland. We watch one or two episodes each night.

I also like the documentaries.watched one on the Vatican last week.

We picked up the television series Spartacus Blood and Sand via Netflix Watch Instantly.

Top Gear is so much fun! But have toss in a vote for Doctor Who as well (what kickstarted my British TV love).

the 3 wheel car one had me in tears... who thought that would be a good idea! :rotfl: the one when they are in vegas is another one of my favs! I only found it last year so I have many seasons to catch up on! :yay:

I use ours mostly for TV shows, particularly scifi. My queue is filled with seasons of Stargate and Battlestar Galactica. If they ever add Star Trek episodes, I'll be out of touch indefinitely.

We have a lot of tv shows on our queue, some we've never seen (Dexter, Weeds, etc.), some that we are revisting (Veronica Mars and Arrested Development). My son is now obsessed with MST3K and Saturday Night Live, so we watch a lot of that.

Man, this is making me want to add more to my queue but I'm at 501 and it won't let me add anything else! :(
Maybe I need to start knocking out some of these movies before continuing with X-Files (24 episodes in a season, so it takes a while to remove that one from the queue)

Only curious: what are the options for 30 Second Bunnies Theater?
