I read something about this on another thread, but... Does anyone have information on this? Can children of any age join in? Do you have to sign up in advance? Where exactly is it? Thanks for any input.

I'm hoping someone responds, because I am extremely interested in this for my children as well

We didn't do it, we weren't there at the right time. But I did see the setup for it at the Sunshine Season Food Fair. That's in the Land building, down the stairs. The area for the baking class is to the left the food counters.

There is a minimum age...I *think* it is 7, but I can't remember for sure.

The Nestles toll house baking class is down in the sunshine food fair at the far left. They will not take sign ups so you want to get there about 10-15 minutes before hand to make sure that your kids can get in. I do not know of an age limit..when my nieces did it one was 5, the other 8. Both had a lot of fun. There were about 10 kids back their all helping out. Made for some good pictures.

Hi! I don't post often, but wanted to tell you my kids experiences. They did this the first time we went to Epcot, my son was almost 3 and my daughter, almost 5. They let my son sift the flower that time I believe, and helpoed him to scoop the cookie dough onto the tray. He really had a good time, and after they put them on the tray, they all sit down and close there eyes while the cookies are "baking" and in about 5 minutes, someone brings out a tray of cookies in bags for everyone. There are 2 cookies in the bags, and the kids loved it! We did it again the last time we were there, my kids were 4 and 6. Each of the kids gets a chef hat that they make with there name on it too. There is a schedule up in that area that lists the times, it would help to be there about 15 minutes or so beforehand. Hope that helps! MB

Thank you so much for all the replies. We will be in Disney next month and we will definitely be doing this. My girls can't wait! Thanks again.

I must tell you that even if you don't have kids, go see this for the best laugh of the day! As far as I can see there is no age limit. There were toddlers there. They were wiping their hands on their noses, and dropping the dough on the floor and putting it back in the bowl when they thought no one was looking. It was a riot. Then the dough was taken out back, and in less than 5 minutes there were fresh hot cookies for the kids to eat. Needless to say, it was not the same cookie dough--thank goodness!!! For anyone who would like to watch, it's at the Land Pavilion in FutureWorld, downstairs way over to the left. The castmembers are great with the kids. :D

We have also done this. My kids were 5 and 6 at the time, there was an age limit but I think it was 3, maybe 4. If you go to the Nestle area of the land you will see a sign telling you when it starts, I think it is every couple of hours during the day. When we got there it was about 20 minutes before starting time and a CM told us to just take a seat in one of the stools on the outside of the baking area and when they fill up with kids, then it was full. The kids all get to mix in an ingrediant and then spoon on a couple of cookies, they had a great time. This is not something I would recommend if you are only going to WDW once every 5 - 10 years, but if you are a repeat visitor, this is a great thing to do.

Just wondering if this is held regularly throughout the day, on particular days, or at a set time each day? Would anyone know how/where I can get the info on this? Thanks for the great idea for the little ones!

:)
