Nestea Question

I have been diligently researching the menus on allearsnet.com and all I see for tea is Nestea. Is this brewed tea or the nasty instant tea; which I despise. :sad2: If it is instant tea, then I guess I drink water and lose value on my free DDP. I never drink coke or lemonade or whatever with a glorious steak. :goodvibes

I can only tell you that the Nestea from all the resorts is fresh brewed and delicious but if you use Sweet n Low you need to bring your own because it is not available but Splenda and Equal are

Thanks MickeyNicki (I love saying that in my head :teeth: ) No sweetener for me - just straight tea. :thumbsup2

I asked because one time I ordered tea at the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal in Hollywood. I almost gagged when I tasted it. The waitress apologized and said all they offer is instant tea, not brewed. It just really shocked me.

The funny thing is that when I was a little girl, I despised brewed tea and loved instant tea. What's up with that. :confused3

I think, though, that at the CS places in the parks, you'll get the instant stuff from the fountain dispenser, if I remember correctly. I'll find out for sure in two weeks!

The iced tea at Pop Century is the instant variety, but the tea I've gotten at the better restaurnats has always been brewed. Most CS restaurants are instant.

Thats weird because when we stayed there 2 years ago it was fresh brewed, it was still warm and melted my ice lol. I hope they did not change it....nothing better than fresh brewed tea! I hate having to pack sweetener tho.

I have an ice tea question. It came to my attention during my trip to DL in '97 that american ice tea is different than the ice tea we have here. Our ice tea is presweetened when you buy it. Can you purchase presweetend ice tea in WDW? :drinking:

At SSR, it is definitely brewed (I saw them brew it!). At the TS restaurants in the parks, it tastes brewed. At Planet Hollywood it is definitely instant.

Most restaurants have splenda and equal, however we encountered a couple places (Teppanyaki was one) that didn't have splenda.

In the US, most ice tea is not sweetened. However, in the south they serve "sweet tea" which has tons of sugar added before it is served. At WDW it is served unsweetened and you fix it to your taste.

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH......................this is the true nectar of the Gods.

I have never understood how the southern most state in the U.S. you have a very hard time finding sweet tea.

I will also only drink brewed iced tea, which is not available at the counter service, but is at the table service places. On our recent Disneyland trips, I started ordering hot tea from the counter service places along with 2-3 cups of ice. This way, I could brew my own tea and turn it into iced tea! I checked a few WDW counter service menus, and it looks like hot tea is available, so this is what I'll be doing next time we're there.
