We're waiting to find out if DH got a job after looking for 2 years; I understand how stressed you must be!

I am just thankful DH has a job. He took a pay cut this year of about 20% when you add it all up (cut bonus's, cost of living increases, etc...), but we can still pay our bills and eat.....we just have to cut some things out.

Well I am thinking if it was bad they wouldnt hold out a month to say sorry but you are getting less money/or sorry your job is done. They would want to do that right away....dont you think?

You took the words out of my thoughts. I agree, if it was bad news, the boss would probably want to get it over and done with.

Next Friday is my review. Last year, for the first time in my life, I did not get a raise. I'm expecting the same this year. These big companies know we are going to stay because there aren't any other jobs. It's not fair, but I do try and keep in mind how lucky I am to have a good job in a very stable company.

Ok so over a month later we have a little bit of Good News! (and by little yes it's little) BUT it's going in the right direction- so he got a 5% increase. Better than nothing and he still has a job. Thank you for hanging in with me!

I think this is one of those times that I'm glad to say, "I told you so" With all the bad news we seem to hear lately, it's nice to read something good. Congratulations!

These days 5% isn't that little... our place went down from 4.5% to 1.5%.

For years we received 2% or nothing......

Then 85% of us were let go.........

With both increases after the initial pay cut last year- we are now down just 20%. Funny I never thought that would sound not so bad. But I am so grateful! Still keeping those of you in the scary boat in my thoughts!

Oh good news!! I'm happy for you guys! DBF just got told he's having a 10% pay cut....again.....the good news is the pay cut will only be temporary. I'm so glad you got an increase!
