Ok, I sort of feel dumb now. For 6 weeks I was having major digestive issues..things were just way off with my digestive track. You know the internet is dangerous looking up symptoms and all...At first I thought it was female problems..but went to yrly exam/ultrasound, all AOK in that area;)

Went to PCP..told her of problems..she said not normal when bowel habits changed, refered me to gastroenterologist. I had to wait almost 3 weeks for appt..now appt tomorrow..and Im feeling 90% better:confused3..So now feel dumb for going. On one hand, I feel like Im wasting my time as well as drs time, on the other hand, what if there is something really wrong??? I just dont know how to feel about it, but feel nervous and stressed..

All I can compare it too is like when somebody has car problems..car makes all this noise drives funny, u take it to mechanic and they cant hear a thing:confused3

Don't feel dumb. Obviously something is going on, whether it be something minor or something more long-term. If you don't go, how will you ever know? What if it comes back later? Better to go now and find out.

I absolutely love my gastroenterologist and a couple of the nurses in his office. I like all his staff, but I love my nurses Linda and Mary. I can't wait to see them this Wednesday.

I would just go, if it worried you & your Dr enough to send you it's best you follow through. If you are fine then you're mind will be at ease, but if it does come back you won't be a new patient any more and they'll take you right away. I hope things stay better for you.

Thanks..I am always nervous going into new situations..

My 5 yr old thinks I am better because we have prayed every night before bedtime for God to make mommy's tummy feel better...;)..it is so cute when she asks me how my tummy feels, and I will say "Im all better now", and she says "its because we asked God to help you"

First of all, count yourself lucky that you got in so fast - around here, it takes at least 3 months to be seen by a specialist the first time (and definitely more than a month for an established patient). I've seen my GI three times for digestive issues, and have had so many tests, and I have yet to be satisfied with the diagnosis (colitis). I do know that I have a gluten intolerance. Good luck!
