Nemo Subs … What Changed?

We went on the Nemo subs today for the first time in oh, I want to say three years maybe? I am having a hard time remembering what the ride was like before but I know they made some changes when they did the recent refurb. Anyone familiar with this ride who can say what’s new?

The ride looks so bright and pretty! My kids loved it (me too!).

To be fair, it's a LOT ot stuff to repaint. They weren't actually working on it all that time.

The ride wasn't down because it was broken or needed major maintenance though. It was down because of COVID protocols. (That ride is claustrophobic enough before the pandemic, but trying to space out guests or put them in that hot metal submarine with masks on would have been a nightmare.) So all it really needed was a refresh, because I'm not aware of any big technical issues.

Honestly, hard to tell anymore around here. Sometimes people complain about rides needing maintenance and then complain when they take the ride down for maintenance. (not saying YOU have done that specifically. You probably haven't! But I'm more used to seeing the complaints than the jokes, which is why I took it wrong.) So, fair enough! My mistake!

LOL it’s ok…. But that is why I added the laughing emoji!! But I know…. There’s been a lot of unhappy people lately.

We haven’t ridden it since 2019. I felt germs all over me back then and that was pre Covid. I don’t like how claustrophobic the ride is, and since none of us are huge Nemo fans, we haven’t been back since. Totally makes sense why it’s been closed for so long.
