We are going to AK two nights on our June trip. We are planning on going to see Nemo for the last show. We couldn't get a FP, which worries me,since all the evening shows are gone. How busy will the last show be? Can we show up 15 minutes before and get seats??

If it's important for you to see that performance:
Arrive at least 45 minutes before show-time.
You want to be near the head of the standby line.
The standby line will be admitted right after the FP+ guests have been seated.

If seeing that performance is of only passing interest,
you can arrive at 15 min. before show-time and see what the line is like.
You might get lucky. Many guests do.

I guess I didn't realize we'd have to get there so early. My worry is because we have a reservation at Yaki and Yeti at 4:45 and we can't get in 45 min early. So I was hoping to swing over after....do you think they would add more times in June because it's open later???

It's a pretty huge theater. Never seen it at capacity myself.

Not sure if they will add more shows once later park hours begin. all of that remains to be seen!

I think you'll be fine. It's a big theater.

We only watched it once since we hated it..we showed up about 15-20 minutes prior and got pretty good seats

If you check periodically after you use your initial FP I'd be surprised if it doesn't show up. With the number of seats in that theater I'd expect you to be able to get one if you check over the course of a couple hours. Being able to do this from your phone now has made it much easier to get things if you check frequently.

My take:

With the new evening additions I expect the AK to be more crowded than ever, particularly in summer, and because folks will have to wait around for dark, that last show will likely be a full house. People line up early for it and in all the times I have seen it, most have been full.

I doubt you will see shows added. They are contract performers (have cancelled shows when there were some contract problems) so Disney will not be able to just add shows when they want.

I have been playing round with FP and noticed that FOTLK has added a show. FP for 7:30 for June 22.... Nothing on Nemo but hoping they add something....

I am worried about the crowds....it's going to be interesting how this plays out...really hoping to squeeze it in somehow

Hopefully, knowing that they are moving to a night time park, they were in negotiations with the performers/union etc to get an extra show for both of them.

I have. We showed up 20 minutes early and were some of the last people allowed into the theater. We had to sit on the (very uncomfortable) bleachers in the back of the theater. Many projects behind us didn't get in.

I just checked the website schedule and Nemo has a 7:00 show!!!! Didn't find any FP but that will be easier to get too from dinner rather than a 6 :)

I am glad we had it when we did I had many nights in the MK from 12 to 3 AM, in a practically empty park. Riding haunted mansion 4 or 5 times in a row same with Splash. Now they have to pay for China closing down their web site in addition to Shangai.

It's a fun show. We've never missed due to capacity. Come to think of it I don't think it has ever been full either.
