Had some really good cookies at a neighborhood party. They were called Neiman-Marcus cookies, but nobody knew who brought them, so I couldn't get the recipe. The story was told that someone requested a cookie recipe from the bakery at Neiman-Marcus. The person was told that there was a charge for recipes. She got the recipe, but was charged $250 on her charge. She then decided to get her money's worth and passed the recipe around to everyone she knew. Not sure if this is true, but it sure makes a good story.
