Man-o-man it is a mad house down the block at the courthouse. This is the first high profile case they've had in Woburn since the courthouse opened. Satellite trucks, police HQ vans, etc.

I totally do believe he is also guilty. But one of his many mistakes was to purchase an airline ticket the day BEFORE he did this which shows pre-meditation.

Though I truly believe in the trial system and all that and he does deserve his trial, I can't wait until they find him guilty. I mean how much more evidence to you need! To kill the mother of your child and then that innocent soul, and when I hear how his attorney's are spinning this well let's just say I can't use those words here.

And to be fair, there is some funkiness going on. Look how many people in this thread have already made their minds up, thereby making them ineligible to serve on the jury -- and yet the judge was able to seat eight jurors after talking with only forty? That is utterly incredible to me.

I can understand why a judge may refuse a change of venue, that happens a lot. Why would the court turn down a request to hire a professional to phrase the juror questions? You would think the judge would do whatever she could to prevent him winning an appeal.

Well we would be ineligible for sure since we have a personal tie to the victim (not a close one, but did know her). He is sooooooooooooooooooo totally guilty, and I agree it's amazing they found 8 out of 40 in that area who aren't sure yet, I think they must be lying just so they can convict him (IMO).

The higher courts are going to one day start overturning guilty sentences because of all the media attention. I'm surprised we don't see it on a large scale. They can cite the Sam Sheppard case to drive home their point.

Personally, I think Scott Peterson is guilty as sin, but I look for his conviction to be overturned due to the media turning that trial into a 3 ring circus.

I'd imagine the Entwistle trial will be quite similar.

As for the details of this case, I'm not really that informed, so it would be impossible for me to take a stab as his guilt/innocence. If he's guilty though, I hope he's punished to the fullest extent that the law allows.

I did think it was funny that the article stated he was sexually unsatisfied and cited his trolling the Internet for porn as the reason to prove it. If that's the threshold, God help the millions who do so daily.

He is guilty, and I don't think there is any real claim that he isn't...I haven't heard it from the defense yet. I mean, for cryin' out loud, even Scott Peterson had the "sense" to get rid of the body; this guy left it in his bed! Along with that poor innocent baby. It is horrific.
As for the jury pool, I thought I heard that they are not asking about bias in the case...seems weird, but I think in these cases, everyone has an opinion of some sort. As a juror, you have to promise to listen to the evidence and base your decision on that...
Glad I am not a juror though. I wouldn't want to see the photos they must have of that poor baby.

I think he's likely guilty, but that's actually the courthouse i go to for jury duty and had I been called up I could have honestly said that I would keep an open mind and listen to the testimony and be open to it.

People get up in arms about changing venues -- back when the laws were written both here and in England, in most cases everybody in the jury not only knew the victims and accused but each other and the judge and the lawyers and all the witnesses. Now lawyers try to claim some kind of right to a completely blank slate.

It's one thing to change the venue where the accused or the victim is a key player in the local town/economy and shenanigans or a fix might ensue. But just because people have heard about the case?

Everytime I look at that baby's face I think that I WISH we had the death penalty! I only hope if he goes to jail he goes the way of some of the pediphile priests and Jeffery Dalmer.

Ok....I would say he is most likely guilty...the evidence is just so damming!!
However a part of me hopes that he is not guilty as I just do not want to believe that someone could do this to his wife and adorable baby girl. I want to believe it was some crazed maniac....but I know it's not likely.
I have been following the trial each day. I truly anticipate the defense presenting their case. I wonder what they have up their sleeves. During cross defense I am getting the impression they are trying to (in a round about way)
pin it on her stepfather or another male that is close to the family. hmmmm
We will have to wait and see!
