I taped the special programme about the history etc of Neighbours that was on at lunchtime, they showed different montages of weddings and deaths of characters etc. I cried! How sad am I!! ??!!

I remember watching some of the things that happened in my lunch hour when I was at secondary school! It really took me back!! :rotfl:

Did anyone else watch it?

i watched it, it made me cry as well  i also felt really old i can remember when neighbours 1st started :) can't beleive its been 20 yrs

I watched it, I thought it was really good, I wish I had taped it now! I was amazed by how many of the old actors didnt look any different even tho its been years since some of them left!

Yes, I cried too.........
I used to love Neighbours, and I've been tuning in recently to catch some of the old faces back in it....Joe Mangel!!!

We used to sneak home from high school at lunch time to watch it - before it was aired at 5.35pm.

BBC has a great website that has loads of classsic clips too!!! :flower:

Watched it and recorded it onto Sky+. It was excellent - just wished it had been a little longer with more interviews and clips. When it started my DD and DS were babies, now they're all grown up which makes me feel a little sad... :sad1:

did anyone record it and does any one have a copy i could have i will pay of course i forgot to tape it and i didnt see it i was at work

Growing up used to love Neighbours ~ haven't watched it since Des and Daphne left

Daphne dying was one of THE saddest moments ever.

I think we should have a poll - Best Neighbour moment. What do you think?

hopefully it will be repeated I missed it too
I remember watching the 1st one
my oldest was only a baby

would never miss a show

i watched it to takes me back to when i was at secondary school can't believe it's been 20 years.

Ooh yes, i cried loads yesterday :rotfl2: It was amazing to see so many old characters, including ones I had forgotten about like Matt Hancock, very tasty ;) Seeing Drew and Libby together and Toadie and Dee was terrible because of the deaths...oh the trauma :rotfl: It did make me feel old though, where did 20 years go?

Claire xx

I used to watch it with my mom when I was little, I would have been 4 when it started!!

I watched a bit of the aniversary episode last night, and I havent seen it since about 1992. It was interesting to watch, and it shows how long its been as I didnt recognise half the people in the "documentary" !
I also saw that there were a couple of people in the program still that were in it back when I last saw it. Its done well for something that was just a cheesy low budget soap. I remember reading once that it was the UK viewing figures that saved it from the axe.
