I am a supervisor in an office and right now, I have eight clerks under me. One of the clerks I have, I'll call him "Joe", is a great guy, hard worker, and will do anything you ask him too. However, he is slow in what he does.(by slow, I mean speed not smarts) I never thought I would find someone who is as slow or slower the he is . . . Until today. I have a new clerk, who I'll name "Mary" who just started on Jan. 19. Today, I gave her a simple task that requires no training whatsoever which was why she was given this particular task. I had her make copies and put together some training booklets for a batch of trainees coming in on Monday and Tuesday. This should have taken a clerk at the most two hours to complete. She started at 11:30 this morning, minus a 30-minute lunch break shevwas still working on it at 4:45 this afternoon
and she is still not done!! I was not happy and let her know about it. I can't wait to tell my boss Monday morning.
Ok venting over . .
