Needing help for AKV Jambo location request

We're staying in a Savannah view studio at Jambo. Our only stay in Jambo was 10 years ago when we were lucky enough to get a club level DVC villa. We basically walked thru the front door, went to the elevator, and when we got to our floor our villa was close by. Our Kidani stay was so completely different in that we had a long, long hall to walk down to get to our room. (and obviously not the free food either)

I am wondering about the locations of the Savannah Studios. What floors are they on? Are they far away from the lobby, or are some close by? I have found out that the lobby is on the 3rd floor. Since Jambo has a lot of non-DVC rooms, I didn't know where the DVC villas are located within Jambo.

I don't want that long walk down a long hall way. If I ask for "close to the lobby" would that work? Should I ask for a specific floor? For those that have stayed there, what are your suggestions?

All Standard & Savanna View DVC Villas are on the 5th floor of Jambo House and will be along the Zebra & Kudo Trails in the map linked to at the bottom of this post. Many of the Standard View Villas overlook the Uzima Pool, but there are some that used to be classified as Savanna View. So, Standard & Savanna View Villas are mixed across the 5th floor.

The small group of rooms numbered 5202 - 5209 and 5401 - 5406 are Standard View and are directly above the lobby. The DVC Portion of Club Level would be directly above these rooms on the 6th floor.

The Villas along the Ostrich & Giraffe Trails are the Value Villas (smaller). There are also some non-DVC hotel rooms along these two trails.

There are many good savanna view rooms at Jambo, all on fifth floor as noted above. The left side of the building is Kudo Trail, the right side Zebra Trail. My personal favorite is to request a room overlooking Arusha savanna, the one in the middle of the u-shaped building, along Zebra Trail, and away from the lobby. If you get that request, you will be fairly close to the pool, with a room facing west, which has a good savanna view, pleasant sunset views, and it does not get blinding sun flooding the balcony and coming in the windows in the morning.

My proposed request would not put you close to lobby, and you can make that request, but be aware the savanna view rooms with the more mediocre savanna views are the ones close to the lobby.
