I know this has been discussed before but I can't seem to find the thread. Sorry:guilty:

Anyway, we have decided to have a quiet Christmas Eve at home and have a variety of finger foods. I know for sure I will do a fruit tray with dip and a crock pot with little smokies in bbq sauce. I am open to any and all other ideas!

Thanks!:wave2:

This is a favorite of ours, and I will be making it for Christmas Eve, we also are doing the appetizer type meal.

2 Cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 package cream cheese
1 1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup cooked ham (diced or chopped)
1/3 cup green chilies
1/3 cup green onions
1/8 worcestershire sauce
1 loaf french bread (round)

combine all ingredients except bread.

Cut a think slice from top of bread, set aside. Using a gentle sawing motion cut vertically to, but not through, bottom of bread, 1/2 inch from the edge lift out center of loaf. Cut into 1" cubes and set aside. Fill hollowed loaf with the dip, cover with reserved top slice of the bread, wrap in alumimnum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve with reserved bread cubes crackers or tortilla chips.

NOTE: I don't use the worstershire sauce, and I also use a regular french bread loaf (round is hard to find here) Everyone here loves this.
