I was browsing the entertainment for NewYears Eve and blurted out to my husband something called GodSmack was playing that night at the HR. Well, we was just amazed they got "Godsmack" and asked how much and what time all the usual questions. And I"m sittin here thinking what is a GodSmack. Anyways, I was thinking of surpising him with tickets and the concert for NYE. Can anyone tell me where the good seats are in the HR hall? I see they have balcony seating or table seating floor seating? I have the worst luck buying tickets. I have been to two concerts my whole life and my tickets always reaked! If I decide to anti up the $86 bucks for these tickets I want to be able for HIM to see the concert. Personally I would like the Citywalk three dog night and cheap trick deal .LOL Heck it comes with a meal and partyfavors>LOL Any help or suggestions where to get the "good" seats and purchase good tickets?

Hi Po6!
Try this:

Hard Rock Live

Never been there, so don't have any recommendations. One day though! (I'm with you on the Three Dog Night & Cheap Trick show)
Jim

I think that a lot of the tickets sold are for the main floor (standing room only). This is what it says at the ticketmaster website:
The Floor is general admission standing room only (no chairs).
Balcony seating includes access to the Floor.
For table seating: All seats at the table must be purchased in one transaction (you must purchase the entire table). There is a seating chart at www.ticketmaster.com

Hey PoS,
Our husbands have something in common.
I thought about buying Godsmack tickets for my husband and son too! Then I saw the $86/ticket,and decided it is not quite in the budget for this trip. Need I say they are not happy with me. Oh well, I will just send them to the Hulk & DD and maybe they will forget about it.:teeth:

Hi !

Just so you know ( incase you don't ) GODSMACK are a nu-metal rock band.

If you guys are into heavy rock you'll love it.

I'm a fan but I still wouldn't fork out over 80 dollar to see them live.

Anyway, here's the address of the bands website .. check 'em out !

Isn't it absurd what they charge for ticket prices!!!? Of course I'm still remembering when you could buy a ticket for a show for $7.95. I am turning into my parents!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not into all that myself but my husband loves it. He's a fan of KidRock and Emien and others I can't remember the silly names of.LOL He's well rounded and like country and most everything I do too. I'm considering this for him cause I think he's one up'ing me for my christmas present. I bought him a 03 SVT mustang Cobra but gave it to him a few weeks ago and all I have is exhaust mod's and Cold Air Intake for him and the usual smaller gifts of clothes, shoes, knifes and guns.LOL I think he's go something up his sleeve and he'd be surpised if I gave him these tickets too.

A little known factoid is I work for a rock station... and Godsmack gets quite a bit of airplay here.

Needless to say I'm mostly DEAF to what they play being an old school girl myself... :p

Oh no Robin! You must remember the days of $7.95 concert tickets too then!!!!! Funny thing is, it doesn't feel like it is that long ago does it?

The citywalk entertainment is definetly more my speed.LOL My husband is in to all kinds of music. I am not sure I want to go and sit through headbanging crap for two hours esp for 175. or better with taxes. I think I was quoted that for the balcony seats. Wonder if you can see anything from there or if they have ear muffs. Did you guys see that jimmy buffett is gonna be in atlanta and in feb he'll be in orlando. Robin have you been to mardi gar? IF so when would be a good weekend to go when it's crowded? Yes when it's crowded I know I know. My husband jusifies paying premuim for onsite cause it's crowded in the parks.LOL

PoS,
you're going for new years, July 1st, and now thinking of throwing mardi gras in too?!! Some people have all the luck!

If you're planning on mardi gras, how about April 5th & 6th - we'll be there that week!

Also, can you tell me - where do you get all the info on what's going on?

Jane I was thinking of doing a surpise trip for my husband our anniversary is may 2,nd so I thougt of a weekend or two before mardi gra ended would be neat. But the Mustang Club is doing a mountain cruise in TN on our anniversary weekend that'd I'd like to do too. So we may go universal march or early april. I find out events on the universal main site. I just type in universal studios and click theme parks, orlando and boom your there. After holiday burnout i'm thinking we'll need a break in the earlier part of the year. Remember we have triplets so life is challenging sometimes to say the least. Also, I'm working on platuim status at lowes.LOL ;) We will be back in July for the 4th possible splilting our stay between Daytons 500 weekend or a few days at WDW. Do you happen to know when Fat tuesday actually is btw? There is a place in LA that you can order a king cake from that is outta this world. I saw it on the food network and bought some last year for father's day gifts. It would be cool to have one delivered to our hotel.LOL

I hate to admit it but I haven't paid for a concert or a play in sooooo long I have no earthly idea how much they cost!! I've been in the business for 22 years! (we have a saying that goes "if it ain't free, you won't see me!" :p )

I worked at a radio station as a sales manager years ago and it was a blast. Classic rock was our format and it was fun! Everything was free.LOL Right down to the gas in my car. There was always a free concert coming up we had tons of tickets for and cd's to be had.LOL I know what your saying Robin why go for $$$ when you can wait them out and go for free. Hey you don't happen to be going to the Jimmy Buffett concert in Atlanta are you?

Well I hadn't paid for a concert, or had to sit in the audience for at least I guess it is about 20 years, until............... Last night. I went to see Peter Gabriel and it was worth every penny!!!!!!

I have to tell you, if you are going to give your hubby a gift of a concert , the hard rock live is the place to give it to him!
I took my 16 year old daughter to the Nickleback concert June 8, and i was amazed at how close we were to the stage and it says on the tickets no cameras , well everyone was taking pictures, and they never checked for cameras.
This place isn't that big and it has to be one of the best places i have ever seen a concert at.
I promise he would never forget it.
I plan to plan a trip around a concert for my hubby next year.
if you have any questions let me know.

mrsmom thanks. I always end up with the worst seats at a concert! They must save them for me>LOL I appriciate your telling me the inside info on the venue. Thanks exactly what i was looking for. On a balcony seat would that be a good choice from what you've seen? Or were would be a good place in your opinon? Left, Right, FLoor, Table or balcony? Thanks

the seats that they had for the nickleback concert was if you wanted to sit down in the balonys you had to buy all the seats at that table which i think was 6, i just got floor and was right up close you just walked in and stood anywhere on the floor, but there are no seats on the floor.
The place is small so anywhere you get will be good, it holds i think 2,500 very nice for a concert!! the best place i have ever deen one and i have been to so many concert when i was younger but never any like this.
I am planning to find a concert next year to take my husband to down there. if you have anymore questions let me know
