i'm going to be staying at disney for 10 days this sept.i can't decide on getting a park hopper for seaworld and bush gardens or univesal studios ans island of adventure. there only 86 bucks for 7 days but i need to choose.its just me and my wife on this trip no kids

What do you enjoy most? Are you crazy coaster people or more shows and animal people? Do you enjoy the 3D type rides?

I know this will send many off the deep end but for the money our group had a ball with SW and BG! My guys are coaster people. Now US has 3 but BG was the bomb for my guys. They also have the most beautiful show called Katonga and I think the best ride that is a surprise was Rhino Rally. I truly think BG is a hidden jewel. It has shows, anilmals and coasters so for us it was great. We go down with a group usually from ages 68-2 and there is something for every one we have found in all the parks but BG really was the hit for us.

You can not beat the price for admission either it is so affordable.

i'm not a big coaster person but dw love coasters, alot of coasters won't bother me as long as the park is clean and colorful. i like the disney style attractions that have a story to them

This is very tough. I was hoping you said you were touring with small children, and then I would have said SW and BG because my kids LOVED SW when they were small (still do, but are now also US/IOA fans.) I would check out every park's web site and see what interests you most.

I'm voting US/IOA because I love the fact that you can walk from park to park to City Walk to the onsite hotels. Really a lot to do and I found the parks spotless, fabulously themed (take the time to look around!) and the rides very well done.

Have fun whatever you end up doing!

We just got back and did Sea World, IOA and US (we allowed a day for each park, separate days for US and IOA) along with the Disney parks.

Next year we're doing Sea World, BG and IOA. The only thing at US worth seeing is Shrek and Jimmy Neutron. My family LOVED Sea World!! It's my DD favorite out of ALL parks. DH loved IOA..he's a coaster fan as well as a HUGE comic fan. Spiderman ROCKS!

Good luck!

I voted for US/IOA. It's great to stay onsite and your room key is an unlimited fast pass. It's sad that people always think coaster park but it really is so much more.
It's clean, reasonably priced and onsite hotels are beautiful.
We'll be staying at the Hard Rock in Sept. I can't wait!!

IMHO, 7 days is way too much. We like 3 days, 1 for each park and on the 3rd day hit our favs in both parks. I'd rather have 3 days onsite than 7 days offsite. The 7 day ticket isn't much more $ than a 1 day so might as well go as much as you can though.

When I saw the poll I was torn but after ready that there are no kids involved I voted for Sea World. I have never been to Bush Gardens but I Love Sea world(been 3times) and last year we went to Universal for the 1st time. It was nice much being short on cash or time this would be my last park I'd pick. We are going to FL. next year and since this time we will be very very short on cash we are choosing to do SW only that is how much we love it.

We went to US/IOA jsut the two of us on New Years Eve. Most would consider this a busy day. We arrived at park opening at 9 AM and had covered both parks by 9PM. We didn't do the fearfall at IOA, my husband refused. We also did not do Jurassic Park since it was closed when we went by. Other than that we covered two crowded parks in 12 hours plus 2 meals. So I am not sure you could spend 7 days there.

Seaworld we spent 2 days at and I could have gone back a third!. It was a much more relaxing pace of course. If I had to choose again I would choose Seaworld. It's been years since I have been to BG.

Isn't there a ticket you can buy that includes all four of these parks?

We always spend several days at Universal and have no trouble finding stuff to do whereas I can't imagine spending more than a day at Seaworld and maybe two at BG. It really depends on you and what your tastes are.

Universal has quite a few shows and simulators and 3d attractions. There are only three real coasters unless you count Dueling Dragons as two. The Mummy is coaster style but has a lot more going on than just a coaster ride. Universal is definitely clean, the food is good and personally I'd pick it over any other parks but that's just my taste.

Have a nice time whatever you decide! :)

We're going to all 4 this coming trip. I really like Busch Gardens in VA, and I hope the one in FL is as nice. I was disappointed in SeaWorld the last time we went, mainly because a lot of stuff was closed for refurbishment and we didn't get to see several of the "big" exhibits. I loved Kraken, though. :) We are roller coaster enthusiasts! We have free passes to BG and SW, one day each, so I hope that's enough to fully experience those parks. I have a feeling those will be "Park Commando" days for us, particularly at BG. We've never been to UO/IOA, but I'm looking foward to it. I'd lean towards BG and SW if you had to pick, mainly because they're a different type of theme park with the animals at both locations. Busch parks are known for having good shows, too.

Sea World has alot to offer, especially if someone in your party is not a coaster person. The Dolphins are my favorite and I'm sure your dw would like them too.

well seeing how the above post(house of the mouse) is my dw i think its settled, seaworld it is
