Need website to clean up grainy/dark photos

I remember seeing this posted somewhere, but don't remember where and I didn't write it down.

It is a website that will help clean up grainy or dark photos without totally distorting the colors, etc.

Anyone know the name? Seems to me it had noise in it, but I can be totally wrong.

Website or program? Noise Ninja? That will help with the graininess but won't do anything about the darkness. Do you have photo software that you can do layers? If you do you can duplicate the pic and change the duplicate layer to screen and that will help lighten it up. You can do this several times. It depends on just how bad the pic is though.

I have never tried layers. I will have to see what the photo software that we have can do--I will have to ask ds as he is the one who messes with that stuff around here. If we have it, I will have to do some experimenting and see what happens.
