The beach is very small-good for a dip, but not for a full day lounging at the beach
Well, I'd have to disagree with this statement. It is definitely not wide like HH, but there's plenty of room, it's not crowded, and long walks along the beach are great. So, by wide, I mean the depth of the sand part of the beach from the water to the vetigation along the shore is narrow, but there's pleanty fo room to spread out, nice beach chairs and umbrellas, you can hang out there for as long as you want. If you walk north of the resort to the public beach, there is a little store where you can get icecream and snacks, and a pizza place. Across the street is a hair salon if you need your hair cut.
There's a publix on route 1 heading north that is pretty close and a great chinese take out and subway right next to the publix. You can get some Chinese food, and some subs, stick them in your refridgerator and heat them up in your microwave when you'd like them for a food alternatives, or to bring down by the pool for lunch.
The Green Cabin room has live music and is very kid friendly, you can get miskshakes there. Lunch out on the Green Cabin Room balcony overlooking the ocean is nice. There's a great schedule of activities every day. They have Tennis, Vollyball, Bike riding, shuffleboard, basketball, kids board games, a sauna, hot tub and massages.
Studios will be in building separate from the main lodge with external coridors. Inn Rooms have internal coridors. Main difference is what you already cited, pull out couch vs the queen bed. More Inn rooms have ocean views than studios.
There's a nice exercise room, and a community room with some activities scheduled there. Slide closes at 5:00. Members get priveledges on Wed like free putt putt (which is only a $1.00 per person anyway). There are free videos, but I don't think the Inn roms or studios have VCRs, the one and two bedrooms villas do.
Local restaraunt menus are available in the lobby if your looking to go off site for some meals. A little store on teh public beach does have some pre-made take out dinners that looked pretty good, but haven't tried them. The small food store onsite has some necesities if you get stuck and a higher price of course. They even carry adult beverages, and I'm always surprised at the great selection they have given the small space. It is a very relaxing resort to visit, we really enjoy it there, and even when we go to WDW, we like a few days on the beach to unwind.
You'll want to sign your kids up for the unbirthday party. It's about an hour in the community room and the kids have a blast. I think you need to be 4. They have treasure hunts, bean bag tosses, and kids movies. Last time were were there they had a banjo player on the porch and they had someone making balloon sculptures for the kids. You also need to be 4 for the Kids Club they have a few of the evenings. They watch the kids for 3 hours with activities and feeding them in the evenings, giving mom and dad a little time to themselves. Snorkel class looked like fun, you get a mask and snorkel with the sign up fee. I've wanted to do the star gazing, it's amazing how many stars you can see there, but we haven't done it yet. Camp fire and smores are fun, your kids will be sining the songs well afterwards.
Just some tips.
