I really need your opinions on the best airport transportation. My two college age sons, their cousin and another friend are traveling (without mom) to WDW. None of them are old enough to rent a vehicle, so we need the most reliable means of transportation. They need to get from the airport to All-Star Sports and back.

My two sons have done traveling with us, but have never been responsible for finding their own way.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Check out the various town car services. For the four of them it would probably run around $115 r/t. They could get a Lincoln towncar and driver, with a grocery stop included. You are met in the baggage claim area and driven directly to your resort. Then, they come back for you, at a predetermined time, to take you back to the airport on your departure day.

A lot of us have used Tiffany Towncar and FL Tours(this one is a board sponser). But, there are many other companies out there. Or they could get a cab. About the same cost but not as nice. Mears does a shuttle service, but at around $30 per person, it would be cheaper to get a towncar. And a lot of us really don't care for Mears. They can take up to 2 hours to get you to your resort!!!

I meant to put in my original post that I was not interested in Mears at all. We had a very bad experience with them about 8 years ago... so I know exactly what you mean. We were treated like cattle and the wait was awful. We waited in a large group to go to the All-Star resorts. The crowd got really ugly and actually bullied a driver into going to All-Star instead of her original destination. Not a good experience to start a vacation or for my children to witness.

PS: Can you tell I'm a little nervous about sending the children on their own? They really are responsible young adults.

We used Southern Elegance limousines in August. They were wonderful. They wait for you in baggage claim with a sign with your name and help with luggage straight to the car.

They have a website. I found them based on reviews on the DIS transportation board.

I am a nervous traveller, but I would feel comfortable with them on my own with my 3 kids.

Good luck!

I recommend quicksilver towncar service. we received outstanding service from them.

I second the Quicksilver vote ... DBF and I just returned from our first vacation and our driver was prompt and friendly. They even personalized our airport greeting placard for us!

Total was $95 round trip to CSR, with a $10 tip each way.

GREAT SERVICE!
