Need to Stay at a Moderate with Points

Hi.
I know it is a terrible thing to do but I may need to use my points to stay at a moderate the week before Easter.

My son's HS baseball team is doing Spring Training in Disney and staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. We are not going to Disney in 2013 with the exception of the Training and need to keep it as low cost as possible for my dh and me (my ds will be paying with the team and staying with his friends).

Does anyone know when I can call and request the room using my points.

Congrats to the boys for doing their spring training at WDW.

You can book up to 11 month in advance. There is a $95 fee for using your points at a WDW resort (only Ft. Wilderness is exempt from the this fee).

Have you thought about renting your points out and using the cash for the room? I think it would end up saving you money in the end.

Thanks. We did think about that and if I rent my points at $10 a point, it is still better to use my points. I wish!
