Need to rent points: June 2006

VERY new to this board and am looking to rent some points for a trip to Walt Disney World in June 2006 (this is not a typo, we are planning our trip for 2006).

I have seven children: (1) 2-year-old, (2) between 3-9, and (4) over ten.

My wife and I are planning on going to WDW on June 8, 2006 and will be leaving on June 18, 2006. We need a two-room villa at Old Key West and I am hearing that in order to do this, I would need 460 points.

I can afford to be patient and get to know someone who can do this so we can make sure we trust each other for such a transaction. Currently, I am booked at the All-star Movies resort in adjoining rooms, but would really like to stay somewhere we can all be together as a family (and cook our own meals sometimes).

Would appreciate anyone's help.

You will have a much better response if you post this in the DVC Rent/Trade board here.

That 460 points will cost you $4600 as most DVC members charge $10 a point to rent them out.

To cut down on point charge people go off season or avoid Fridays and Saturdays.

Absolutely post your request on the DVC rent/trade board. Ask any specific questions about DVC, OKW or the villas themselves on the DVC board. Everyone is very helpful there.

But before you do that you do realize you can rent directly from Disney? Since you are staying over the weekend(s) it might be cheaper.

Yes, go to the DVC rent/trade board to see if you can rent from a DVC member. Otherwise, you'd pay rack rates to stay there. You get a much better deal renting from a DVC member.
