Need to hear from BWV lovers quick -help

We love BWV but we would never be disappointed with a stay at OKW. I am going to add on and I find it hard to beat the price at SSR. I have never been there but I had never been to BWV before I bought either. I don't think you would be disappointed with BWV.

The BWV are my favorite place on earth. We just added on another 100 points there as Disney had some available. The location is great for the Epcot lovers we are. I love the activity on the BW. Also love the option to save points and use the standard view or as we did last month get a BW view for the holidays. The rooms are great, and we have always found the CMs to be very kind and helpful.

Not sure if the OP has kids... We have a 6 and a 4 year old, both boys. The ability to hit MGM and EPCOT early, easy transport back to the room for naps/pool time, then return to the parks for dinner/fireworks is unbeatable. Location, location, location.

OP here, nope, all 5 kids grown and gone. Bought SSR so that I could take my adult children and grandchildren. I thought long and hard today and bought VWL 125 points only because I know how much DH loves the atmosphere and decor of this resort. There were lots of points at all resorts except BCV. :cool1: I will buy into BWV within the next year and I will be pretty well set. I really want to stay at BWV so that I can get the feel of it. I am sure I will love it just from reading all your posts. So many wonderful resorts, so little time ...and money!!! :rotfl2:

I really like variety and find all of the resorts have something to offer. I am happy with my purchase at SSR because I think this resort will only become better with time. :hourglass :wave2:

:cheer2: WE LOVE BWV :cheer2:

We really enjoy the views of Epcot and the Boardwalk. If we have a BW view -We can sit on our balcony and watch the street performers. When we've had a courtyard view we watched kids or families playing games like freese tag and catch. We've also enjoyed the pool view.

DH and I really like being close to EPCOT especially at Food and Wine Feastival time. Also it's great to be able to just walk or take the boat over for a quick dinner or stroll at EPCOT.

Our family loves the BW Bakery and coffee in the morning and Flying Fish and Spoodles (Not to mention the onion ring vender!!).

We also have great memories of the surrey bikes and DH having to get out and push a couple of times.

While we enjoy all the DVC resorts we love our BWV home!!! :Pinkbounc

Good luck with whatever you decide!! :flower:

We travel in low occupancy weeks and will try to use my points to get a studio at BWV to give it a try. I love the idea of all that activity and convenience. I am trying not to get addonitis!! It's tough.

Oh, you make me so envious and so dying to be in WDW!!! I drive my DH nuts when we are driving along here in 30 degree weather and he says, "What do you want to do?" my response - "Let's take a stroll over to Japan for some sushi and then hit Beaches and Cream" :rotfl2:

We own at SSR and Vero, but have never been to Vero yet. We stayed at BWV once and it was good. We had Boardwalk view (room was across from basket ball shoot). It was a nice room and very quite. Great location with being close to boats going to and from Epcot/MGM. We mostly took the walk to Epcot. Loved the quite pool too. We prefer them to the larger pools.

I love Wilderness the best too, but if it is a better deal, more points which brings more tirips, go for it! You will really love having BWV as your home resort during the Wine and Food Festival, with the 11 month booking.

Good luck,
Judy

We love the Boardwalk because we can walk to both Epcot and MGM, and are close to numerous dining locations. The rooms are great and the CM's are the best! The only thing that could possibly make it better is if the monorail would have a stop somewhere between Boardwalk and MGM. (Wishful thinking!) We've stayed at all of the other DVC locations, and Boardwalk is still our favorite - OKW is a close #2!

You will love it there! We own at BCV, but have only stayed there once. We have stayed at BWVs twice and have another reservation in the summer. The standard view rooms really helps to save on points (for more trips), but it is getting harder to get them, so owning there would give you that advantage. Also, the walk to MGM isn't too bad from the BWVs, it is further over to BCVs (if you like walking, we do).

The entertainment at night is fun. At Christmas time they have choirs from different high schools singing on the lawn. I believe they actually have a New Years Eve party. There is also a Community Hall, that was haven't checked out yet, but plan to next time (they don't have this at BCVs). The pool is really cute and the kids love it. Sure they love Stormalong Bay better, but the Luna Pool is their second choice!

We also love having the pizza window there for counter service. You can't just grab a piece of pizza at BCV.

Beaches and Cream is a big hit for us, but we just go over there while we are staying at BWVs, so that isn't a problem.

I would go with BWVs hands down!

We love the VWL at Christmas time (and at all other times of the year as well).

We added on at the Boardwalk specifically to go during Food and Wine Festival. I wanted the security of the 11 month booking window.

We checked out SSR, really nice beautiful place. Not our cup of tea. We wanted a bit closer proximity to the parks.

For example, love the boat launch to MK at VWL
and
boat to MGM and Epcot at BWV.

We love BWV. We love being able to walk to two parks. We love being able to catch a break from the parks one evening and still have plenty to do (even for the little ones). We love dining on the boards and at Epcot. DS(5) loves the Keister Coaster.

There is very little not to like IMHO.

Good luck to you.

We love the BWV. I own 2 contracts there for a total of 340 points and if my DW would let me I'd add more(come on lottery). You can't beat the goings on at the resort. If you like to go there, you should add on there. It is better with the 11 month booking window, so you can more than likely get what you want, instead of sweating out the 7 month window.
