we got the call this morning,its just a limpoma! he is going to see the surgeon this week.I am so happy, now we can enjoy our trip and not spend it with worry on our miinds! He will have to get it removed soon though because of his uniform, he wears a bulletproof vest and a 35 lb gun belt everyday that pushes on it so it cause a good amount of pain.
Does anyone know what they will do to remove it? or recovery time?

Now how wonderful is THAT news!!! Now, you go and have the very best time ever! Talk about deserving a great holiday!

Is it a lypoma? A fatty tumor? I just want to be sure I've got that right. If so they are very common. If it is just below the skin his surgery will be pretty simple with a quick recovery. Since he wears the gun belt it might be a little longer before he can go back to duty. If it is deeper in the abdominal cavity then there would be muscle tissue involved and deeper stiches with more recovery time needed. Lypomas are a good kind of tumor to have if you gotta have one. I was wondering if it could be a hernia from where you described it. I hope all goes well.
