Need to clarify

If I book now, and a code becomes available (FL resident or AP specifically) I can rebook my same reservation with the code?

So there is no downside to booking ahead and hoping for a code? But if I wait, I may not get the availability I want?

I have done this in the past with no problems, but there are a limited amount of rooms at each resort saved for a code so they may have to cancel your previous reservation and give you a new one with the code. If they have your same resort available there is not a problem but the best bet is to book now and if a code becomes availabe, call right away.

We booked ours, and then called as soon as a code was available and asked them to apply it to our reservation and we did not have a problem. You just have to do it ASAP because sometimes there aren't enough rooms.

There have been times that they were able to just convert mine over, then other times they had to have me book a new ressie & cancel the old. Just do not cancel the old first then book the new.. you can be left without a room at all..

It's definitely a darned if you, darned if you don't situation because if too many people book and the occupancy levels are high, they may not offer a discount (or if they do, it might be lower than expected).

So if you book now, just make sure it's something you can afford just in case it doesn't get any better.

there is no guarantee that there will be a code or if there is a code that it will be applicable to the exact reservation you have. the availability is always limited with some people calling the morning the code starts and being told it is sold out as well there are times when the code may have never even been made available at certain resorts or certain room categories.
