need to change makeup-help

OK I bought the Ulta fabulous face natural finish foundation. I asked for something that would give me good coverage, nothing too light. I find this to be too light of a coverage. I feel like I use a larger amount to try to increase coverage and that usually doesn't help. So not saving $ using more. Plus it has a smell to it that I don't like. I use the fabulous face pressed powder and that seems fine. The bonus was they gave me a ton of free stuff in a goodie bag and I spent less than $30. I got full sized mascara and liner, brushes, 2 four packs of eye shadows and lip gloss. I LOVE the eyeshadow quad that has iceland, eggplant, must have and eclipse. I don't normally wear any eyeshadow unless going somewhere special but this makes me want to wear it just because.

Skin79 Oriental Gold BB Cream. I bought through a seller on Amazon called Pink Gelee. Good experience with them. Genuine product. Took about 6 days to get to me. You can also go to the skin79 official North American site.

I'm really liking this BB Cream. I get good coverage but not too heavy. It is very soft and light and good on my skin. The best part is that my breakouts are so much less than I've had with other products.

I use Bare Minerals but I use Cover Girl tinted moisturizer (liquid) underneath first. I put that on when I get out of the shower so it is dry by the time I use the powder. If I don't use that first the BM seems to make my face feel and look so dry and it doesn't cover as well either. Have you tried something like that?

Did ALL of our skin change around the same time?!! I used Bare Minerals for years and found it didn't work the same or look as good for me either.

Makes me wonder if it really is us or if maybe they changed their formula!

EXCELLENT question. I just switched from BM in the last several months after wearing it for years. Makes you wonder

Have any of you tried Bare Minerals new foundation, that is pressed in a compact? It does goes on a little different than the powdered formula. And the colors are a bit different.

I also used bare mineral for years and recently switched to Laura Geller balance and brighten. I buy it on qvc. I really like the coverage and a little goes a long way. I get lots of compliments on how smooth my skin looks. I also am interested in checking out the new bare mineral pressed foundation. I read that the colors go on lighter than the loose powder. I will wait till I am in a mall with a bare mineral store so I can get color matched. I still use the mineral veil over my Laura Geller.

They do go on lighter, I went from medium beige, to medium tan. I LOVE the new brush they sell for it.

after being dissatisfied with the Ulta makeup a coworker suggested TIGI creme foundation. I have to say I love it. It is in a compact, has great coverage and matches my skin well. Best of all I don't need a powder over it so it is one step. And it really lasts all day long (something the Ulta brand really disappointed me on). I wore it outside in 90 degree heat this weekend, came home thinking I would need a touch up but I didn't! It held up great.

I love the new pressed BM foundation! I liked the loose well enough, but it seemed I was having to use alot just to get the coverage I wanted, and then I used up the pot too fast. The pressed seems to last a long time, been using it for over a month so far and looks like I have lots left.

The only thing is, do not drag a brush across the compact, because it makes a mess. I use the side of the brush and press into the compact, then sweep it across my face. It takes a little longer to apply that way, but you get better coverage and makes less of a mess on the counter.

Which brush are you using? I use the new one that is flat across the top, I just touch the foundation, and sweep it on. No mess at all, I love it!
