Don't know what to request. Any pictures or links are great as well, but I will trust your judgements. :)

I have read about smoke and ash, but that seems dependent on the wind. We just want to make sure we have a good view of the globe when its out, so that its not obstructed by trees.

Oh and were having about 25 people.

With 25 people, you qualify for UK Upper, UK Lower, and Morocco, although they seem to bend 50-person minimum at the French Island and Italy West Plaza sometimes.

My vote's for UK Lower (aka UK Lochside), which is right on the water, has a spectacular fireworks view, and it secluded from the main path around World Showcase. You can see all the pictures of our dessert party at UK Lower here:

This is one of the locations where people have complained of ash, depending on the wind. We've watched IllumiNations there numerous times and only had smoke once.

Dug up a pic that shows the view of the globe from UK Lochside:

Here's a view of the globe from the lower French Terrace:

And here's a view of the show from Morocco:

Ours was at UK Lower and IMO, it was perfect. No issues with ash, dust, and a perfect view of the fireworks. :)

We did the UK Lower too and LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! Our guests were in awe of the view and the food was great. We only had 27 people and it was perfect. We used Jennifer with the Boardwalk Catering and I LOVED her....We didn't have our wedding at Disney, we just did our 'rehearsal dessert party' there. We got married at Celebration Golf Club (which was gorgeous) and very close to the Boardwalk. :)

Good luck! :thumbsup2

Hello everyone! I've been searching for a thread that breaks down epcot locations and when I found this I thought I'd try just posted it here.

I've seen some pictures of both, but I'd like people opinions as well since I can't easier go over and see for myself.

I am trying to decide between Italy Isola West and Terrace Des Fleur (upper level in France).

Anyone have any opinions on these locations or been to either location?

Thanks so much!!

*** also
for the france location- does anyone have pictures of the view during the firework show? I'm curious how much of the view is obstructed by the island.
Thanks!!!

Isn't one of Carrie's pictures above from the France location? It's certainly not my favorite of the views, based on her pictures.

And Carrie--I am SO excited for mine now. :) We're doing ours at Lochside, and those pictures make me super happy that we requested it there.

Italy Isola, all the way. France has that island in the way (the picture above is from the lower French terrace, but the upper one isn't much different and doesn't have the benefit of reflected water all around you like Lower). Italy has a completely unobstructed, picture-perfect view and rarely gets the kinds of smoke issues you sometimes find at the locations on the "ends"...

Glad to hear it! :goodvibes

Carrie - how badly would you say the island makes viewing in France? We have Eau de France for our DP and as I don't think I've ever BEEN down that pavilion, let alone watched Illuminations there. I can't for the life of me recall a view from that location. The island is the only thing that has me worried, but I know we can't switch locations (due to other DisBride DPs I know are on the same night/our current guest count) and that stupid island is making me anxious! (Darn you crazy bride brain :headache:)

Oh shoot - sorry to scare you! The view from there isn't horrible, and you really only notice the island when the low fireworks are going off. All the high ones clear it. It's not like the Africa or China locations, where you can't see the globe for half the show cuz it's behind stuff. And most people who have dessert parties in France have nothing but good things to say about them. I bet you won't even think about the island once you're there! :goodvibes

Hahaha if you say it's ok, I trust you! I blame it more on crazy bride brain that's looking for something to fixate on :crazy2: Plus I'm sure I'll be took focused on the desserts the day of (or DF, but also food). If we can swing park tickets for our planning sessions I definitely want to see Illuminations from there!

We've watched illuminations from rue de Paris and the island, while definitely in the way, isn't horrible. Italy is much better, and even the other France locations are better. The island affects rue de Paris the most, but only some of the lower fireworks are affected.
