Need tix before booking FPs??

I know this is a silly question. Trying to plan a relatively last minute mother/daughter trip for Memorial Day weekend. I have an AP but need a tic for DD. Do I need to buy it and enter in the info before getting FPs? Our window opens on Monday. Yikes!! Thanks in advance.

I was able to link my tickets through a reservation number, didn't even need the hard tickets.
