We just came back from a nine night trip (which I thought was long, 2 weeks, WOW!) and stayed at the Poly. Here is what I did to stay organized.
*I unpacked and put clothes in the drawers(I never do this) and used the suitcases for dirty laundry. Kept a plastic bag in the closet with laundry detergent, dryer sheets, stain remover and quarters. On laundry day just rolled the suitcase and plastic bag to laundry room.
*We didn't use cash. On past trips dh would empty his pockets at night and there would be a mountain of change and receipts. This trip we charged everything to the room and I had a envelope in the fanny pack to store receipts.
*designated an area (under armoire) for everyone's shoes.
*kept a beach bag in the closet packed with goggle, swimmies, books, lotion, towels. Made it easy to grab the bag and go to the pool, and everyone knew where everything was.
*kept a shoe bag in the bathroom for toiletires. Also left a small suitcase under the sink area for the larger bath items, my hairdryer, moisturizer, coldcream, makeup, etc.
*brought clothes pins and hangers. Hung up wet suits with pins and our towels in the closet with hangers (I like to bring our own beach towels)
*lastly, I bought a cheap id holder at
Walmart (.97) that I put the room keys in (I had my tickets from Ticketmania transferred to the room key - this way only 1 card per family member). This eliminated looking for the keys each day and if anyone needed a room key, we knew where to find them. Left the lanyard on the closet handle, easy to find.
Those are my organizing tips, have a great time!
