Hi!
We are planning a trip just to see a Braves Spring Training game. I am looking for any tips anyone may have to make this a memorable experience for my boys. Do they do meet and greets or autographs? In your opinion, what is the best section to sit in? My boys love foul balls but we also want to see the players. Do they do anything special on certain days? I cant seem to find much info. on this.
Thanks in advance! :flower1:

Hi, my husband and son had a great time at a Spring Training game last year. They got seats right above the dug out and had fun listening to the players chatter. The players were pretty loose and even talked to my son a little bit. My son was wearing his Mickey Yankees shirt and a Yankees hat - they were razzing him a bit about that - very good natured.
Will you have a car? If not to get to the game you'll need to go to a park and then to All Star Sports, from there they run a bus to WWOS. We were at Epcot for the AM so they just walked out the front of the park to the buses, not a big deal. Coming back to Beach Club they had a longer trip back. They went from WWOS to All Star Sports and then to DHS and then finally walked back to the Beach Club. My husband said he would have called a cab to get back had he known it was going to be that difficult to come back.

Thanks for the responses. We will have a car, so transportation logistics won't be a problem.

Wow! This thread and post came at a great time. We just bought tickets for FIL for a Tiger's game in March. We're staying at BWV so we were trying to decide between renting a car and taking the bus. Of course we're factoring in an AM grocery run as well, but that seems to tip it.

DH bought tickets the day they went on sale and they seemed to be going fast! (For the reserved seats)

We've gone there a few times, always nice to do. I don't recall them offering meet and greets or autographs. There's a nice souvenir store there, I often drink from the mug I got there. Try by first base for more foul balls, but it's nice anywhere there. You'd have to check the schedule to see if they do anything special on certain days, I don't recall anything specific.

Haven't been to a spring training game at WWOS, but have at other ballparks in FL. Your best bet for any sort of player interaction is to get to the park a couple of hours early and stand down by the foul line fence during batting practice. If your boys are wearing Braves gear, they will likely have a better chance of having a player stop to say "hi" or to sign a ball or a program.

I'm assuming you know this, but the closer to the end of spring training you go, the greater the likelihood of actually seeing everyday major leaguers playing that day.

I thought the Braves were relocating their Spring training site away from WWOS?
