We are going to WDW for 9 days/8 nights. We've purchased a 1 day ticket (as required to do the Free dining plan). Here's the problem.......we had planned to upgrade to APs once we got to Disney. Now due to various factors (mainly a calendar and not knowing exactly what will happen next year with DH's vacation) we are rethinking this process.

We would like to do a 9 day ticket - HOWEVER - we also want to spend some time at a water park. If we got the plus package - does this allow us to not go to a park one day and use a plus instead (then we wouldn't need 9 days on our MYW tickets). We want park hopping but not the no expiration date thing. I just don't know if we should get a 9 day with no pluses or a 7 or 8 day with pluses. HELP!!!!!!! Someone with some experience in this - can you help me!!!! We've always done AP's in the past and worked two trips into a year - but I'm just afraid we will spend the money and not be able to do it this year and don't want to take the chance!

TIA!!!!!

OK, these are the questions you have to ask yourself, as these are the questions you will be asked when you purchase the tickets.

How may days are planning to spend in the main Disney Parks... that includes Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM and Animal Kingdom? How many times are you planning to do the water parks, Disney Quest or Pleasure Island? Are you planning on going to more than one park per day? Are you planning to use the entire ticket in the 9 days you will be in the WDW area?

Only after you can answer these questions, can anyone advise you on what type of tickets you will require.

You may PM me with the answers to these questions and I will be glad to advise you on you best options.

Look forward to hearing from you!:)

It's sounds like 1 question will solve your dilemma.

If you have the magic plus pack, and ONLY visit a water park (not any of the major theme parks), you would lose 1 plus option. That doesn't burn any days. So let's say you get the 7 day ticket with magic plus pack and park hopping. And on the very same day you arrive, you visit ONLY Blizzard Beach. You would have 7 days left, with 4 plus options.

Hope that makes sense, and helps! :)

If you are visiting two water parks (same or different days) or one water park and also Disney Quest, then the plus pack is worth the $48.

Just one visit to one water park and you should buy a separate waterpark ticket.

You might go with 7 days expiring with plus pack and see how it works out. If you need the eighth day you can add it still later.

We are planning on spending all the days at Disney parks. No Pleasure Island, no Disney Quest....only water parks (we had originally planned 1 day - but with the pluses - it could be more than one easily). We usually park hop - park in the morning - pool/hotel or Water park if we have that option in the afternoon and back to the parks at night after it has cooled off and isn't so crowded. We have a four year old that doesn't wait well in lines and loves the water! I've mainly made early morning ADRs and late dinner ADRs and planned CS for lunches except for CRT on one day for lunch and PT50s for lunch one day - the rest of the days are open during the main part of the day! I would love to have the option to go to a park in the morning, water park or hotel pool in the afternoon and back to a different park at night depending on EMH hours. I'm just trying to figure out if it makes more sense to do a 7 day ticket with plus options or a 9 day ticket with plus options (know we won't spend an entire day at a water park but I would need to change some ADRs from parks to resorts if we don't have 9 day park hoppers.).
