First let me apologize for the length of this email but I need to vent while I ask all of these questions. Okay I hope this makes sense because I am so upset at my TA I could throttle her. Pretty much all of my vacation plans are screwed up because of her. I have used this company to book trips for the company I work for so you would think that she could get a simple Disney vacation completed accurately correct? WRONG!

I booked my trip (12/25-12/31) in the beginning of October. I gave her the total price Expedia was going to cost me for everything (tickets and Expedia fees) and she said she could beat it. Well after begging forever to get my vacation information, I finally get it via email yesterday at 4:30pm. The first thing I did was call to confirm my hotel (I am anal) and yes I had a room BUT it was not what I requested. They had me booked for smoking 2 dbl beds room when I specifically told my TA I had to have a King Non-smoking. She confirmed to me that this is what I was getting. So imagine my dismay when I found out NO that was not what I was given and in fact the Hilton gave me what was requested originally. GRRR.

I am having to deal with her assistant because she is not in and although she knows I am upset, she has yet to call me from her cell. She is talking to me through her assistant. Her assistant keeps telling me. While we are arguing over this, I notice she has charged me $229 (and some change) more than she originally quoted me. She is claiming it is because I added park hopper tickets afterwards. I remind her NO that I told her the Expedia package included the ultimate park hopper tickets for two as well and that this is what I wanted (hello??? Most important part of my trip) AND I remind her that the price should be lower because I have cancelled the transportation she had booked me and have rented a car on my own. I also point out that regardless, her math is not adding up because the park hopper tickets for two is more than $229. Of course she has no answer for this. So round and round we go again. Suffice it to say, that I am hoping I have the room I requested (it is suppose to be worked out) and I am getting 50% of the overage back which is not what I wanted especially since I am now paying about as much as the Expedia price (with much more trouble) but at least I have my room and tickets right?

WRONG! Something was tickling my brain when I finally finished this whole ordeal at 10:58 pm last night. I had specifically requested the ultimate park hopper package. Sure enough I have the park hopper plus. So here is my question, we wanted the ultimate park hopper so we could got to all the parks, pleasure island and disney quest as much as we wanted. We do not care about the water parks (not sure they are even open but regardless I do not want to go there). I also do not care about the Wide World of Sports. The only extra things we want would be to go to pleasure island and disney quest as much as we like. Now I have read some things that are confusing me. At first I thought I could choose to go to pleasure island as much as I many days as I wanted (same number as park pass) but would have to pay to go to Disney Quest. We thought that would be fine but now I read something where I can not go the entire 6 days (number of park hopper plus days) to pleasure island without it costing more. Is this correct? If so, this will not do so how hard is it to change my tickets.

Also on my e ticket, I have my hotel, air ticket and disney ticket information. It says to go to will call to get my disney tickets. Where is Will Call and will my e ticket suffice to get my tickets? Can I get them early in the morning since we have early entry to get into Disney by staying at the Hilton?

I apologize for all of these questions but, I am sure you understand why I do NOT trust my TA to give me the correct information. On a good note, my air tickets are correct and supposively I do have seats and am not flying on the wing of the plane.;)

Through it all, I am still trying to remain positive and not let this drown out my excitement. Thanks so much for your help!

6 day park hopper plus includes three plus visits-ie pleasure island or water parks. You can not use it on NYE as it is a special ticketed event anyway. Never buy a package- you can almost always do as well on your own!

Ok ok Here goes................

Park hopper plusses have 6 (in your case) hopper days to the four major parks and 3 plus passes to the other things like PI, but not DQ. Now I wouldnt worry all that much that you can only go to PI 3 times, imho that will be more than enough, unless your serious clubbers.

Now things may have changed, but The ultimate PHs are sold to Disney hotel guests, only. Or at least they used to be. So that may be why youve got 6 day park hoppers, instead.

And dont kick youself to much, expedia screwed our trip up last spring, so you may not have fared any better with them. At least you are dealing with specific people, instead of voice mail he**. Right?

Thanks so much. I am leaving NYE so that is not an issue. If that is why I could not get them, then that is okay but she could have told me instead of telling me I NEVER requested them. Also for this time of year, I did research not doing a package and I did come out much cheaper doing one since we are flying into Orlando.

First take a deep breath. You certainly have a right to be upset and this would be the last time I used this agent. I certainly would let my employer know about the terrible treatment you received as well. Too bad you cant cancel the whole thing. You should forget her and work with the supv or owner on the rest of this. I would also make sure you had everything in writing, so you have something in your hand should there be further problems. Make sure you see EVERYTHING on the sheets they give you! Ok will try to answer your questions.

Room: Dont know if you got this changed but I would call the Hilton or fax them and see if they could change the request for you.

Tiks Plus Options: Sounds like you have a six day pass so you would have 3 plus visits. You can choose any of the water parks, PI or the WW of Sports. Disney Quest is not included. You cannot visit PI six nights only three. Whereas with the UPH you could have gone anywhere everyday of your stay. On the plus side if you do not visit a Disney park all six days and have days left over they are good for use anytime in the future.

Will Call: Is Guest Relations windows, your eticket will be fine. They are located at the entrance off all the parks. At EC, MGM, AK they are to the left of the ticket booths and on the right at MK. If the park's listed opening time is 9am then I would plan to be at the GR window at 8am.

Dining: One last thing, have you thought about PSs? This is the busiest week of the entire year for WDW. I would get on the Dining line myself and get as many PSs as I could get. I know on some days like NYE your choices may be thin. But I would not arrive at this time a year without having made a PS for my dinners before I arrived. If you do not I am afraid your choices will be limited to Fast food and waits will be longer then an hour for any sit down restaurant. Just wasted time when you could be taking in a ride instead.

Hang in there. I am sure once you arrive you will find it a magical time to visit. Have a happy holiday.

I'm glad you got a better deal with a package. We usually start looking 7-8 months out for air deals and I've been lucky so far catching the good prices. Of course that means i go online every day and check all the airlines which is a bit time consuming! This year they were particularly high at the holidays so that may be why a package was better. Have a great trip!

I agree that the package was probably better due to the Holidays. I have 2 PS's booked. I did those myself so I know those are right. The other nights we have some friends staying in Kissimmee so we are going to grab dinner there. We are not interested in sit down lunches and are not big breakfast eaters so a snack will be fine. We had planned to leave the park and eat late dinners in Kissimmee. I know most everyone else prefers to eat at Disney the whole time but we do not really care about that as much as seeing the parks. As for the wait, where I live, you have to wait an hour just to eat at a Chilis even on week nights so, I am pretty much use to that. Since we do not have kids, we are more adaptable to waiting and eating what and where we can.

I also just realized that I was stressing for no reason...........well about the PI thing. We want to hit the clubs maybe once or twice but I was mostly wanting to go have drinks at some of the restaurants there (well I wasn't but my friends were) but we will not need passes for that correct?

As for my TA.......she books flights for most everyone at the office and they use her because she just charges to the company versus us having to pay up front and wait on the company to reimburse us. I also use her to book major broker trips. We take about 2 major and 3-4 mini trips where we invite some commerical real estate agents who have done business with us. Since I am the one responsible for planning this, guess who gets to choose which TA I use? I have already contacted a firm down the street from where I live and am waiting on someone to call me back because I want to go ahead and set up an account. I can not use someone else at her firm because it is just her and her assistant. Oh well..........in the end, losing my business will hurt her more than she has aggravated me.

The Hilton manager has personally guanranteed me a King/non smoking room. He was very nice and worked hard to help me out. Of course, I solved this on my own. After working with her, I kept checking for a kick me sign on my back.

Again, thanks so much for everyone's help. I really appreciate it.

Sorry to say even if you are just going for drinks at the PI clubs you will need the pass to get in. This includes Adventurers Club, BET, the Comedy Club, Manniquins, R&R beach club and 8trax. But the good news is that if you are only planning to go a few nights you have plenty of plus options on your ticket.

Hey dont forget to do a trip report when you get back so we know how it went.

Sorry this has become such a nightmare for you! I'm glad it's working out... With regards to having drinks, if you are having drinks at the Downtown Disney and Westside Restaurants you will not need admission for those (i.e. Bongos, Wolfgang Puck's, etc.)
Have fun!

beachdreams, I'm also sorry for what you're having to go through to plan what is supposed to be a relaxing time, but I hope everything works out. I know what you mean about waiting at restaurants in Atlanta...I lived there for almost 6 years.

Anyway, I wanted to chime in about DisneyQuest. I'm not sure how much time you're planning on spending there, but if you think you may go more than twice, I would think about annual passes. They cost $79 while a one-day admission will cost $31. But, also keep in mind that even with a one-day admission you can leave DQ and come back later the same day.

I love DQ and have found myself spending 4-5 hours in there at time (probably would have stayed longer if my SO hadn't dragged me out! ). It's very easy to lose track of time because there's so much to do.

Good luck with everything and have a great time!
