Due to some unfortunate circumstances we were not at all sure that we would be able to go on our previously planned WDW vacation scheduled for 9/25-10/2. But............the good news is that we now know that we can go!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!!!!!!!! Good thing that I didn't cancel my reservations for POFQ (we got a postcard rate of $79/night!)

Now my dilemma is this..........we haven't purchased the tickets yet because we were not sure that the vacation was going to go through.

In researching my options at this point the best deal (including the shipping/tax charges) seems to be purchasing a 5 Day Park Hopper Ticket (no pluses) through the WDW website. The cost for our family would be around $880). Here is the catch and what I am worried about.........we would have to purchase them on-line and pick them up at a Will Call Window. This is because there isn't enough time to have them shipped to me and they are not available to purchase at the gate.

I am worried that something might go awry and the tickets might not be there when we go to pick them up. Have any of you done this before? Can you share your experiences.....good or bad.

Thanks! I'm just so excited that we will be able to go!!!!!!:hyper:

Last September my cousin bought tickets for her aunt and uncle. We picked them up at the ticket booth at International Gateway.

I haven't bought WDW tickets online, but I did buy tickets for Universal and had no problems getting them at the park. I would imagine WDW would be the same way. If you're leary about purchasing them online, maybe buying them at a Disney Store or a AAA would be better for you. I've bought WDW tickets from a Disney store and they do give you a discount.

If there is a Disney Store in your area, you could go there and purchase them.

I would also recommend the Disney Store. They will be the exact same price, but you don't have to pay the handling fee. The tax amt. is the same no matter where in the country you buy them.

If you don't have a Disney Store in your area, you could buy them at the Disney Store in the airport (if you are flying). Someone else might be able to address the availability issue. I don't know if the DS airport store often runs out of tickets.

If you are planning on going to the parks for the first time the DAY AFTER your arrival, you could pick up the tickets the night before at one of the will call windows. I don't know if this would be available at the Guest Services at DTD, but if you went to the Boardwalk, you could go over to MGM to pick up the tickets. I'm not sure if Epcot's International Gateway entrance has a will call.

Hi. I don't know where you're from in NC, but I'm in the Charlotte area and the AAA has 5 day passes for $232, taxes are included. At the Disney Store, they don't include taxes in their prices, so for me, it is cheaper at the AAA. Look into it in your area, or see the web site at www.aaacarolinas.com . Have a great trip!
