I've been layed off since July and am constantly looking for a job. I'm always checking all kinds of job sites and companies websites for employment multiple times a day. Just before Thanksgiving I took a job as a temp at a county job through a temp agency as a way to extend my unemployment. Plus it sounded like there was a real good chance that the job could become permanent full time. I was filling in for someone out on FMLA for unknown reasons to me, but it appears she's going to retire and not return. I'm pregnant also and had a dr. appt. taking me out of the office for 2.5 hours and they terminated my assignment saying that I was putting them back into the same position they were already in. My assignment was supposed to be until Feb. 1 and I'm not due until May 1 so there was no reason I couldn't complete it. I did fear that I wouldn't be offered the job at the end due to being pregnant, but never expected them to end it early. I was very hurt and still am, but am back to looking for something else.
