Need super comfy shoes

Hi

I recommend Merrell sandals. There are a couple of different styles to choose from.

I used to always wear sneakers to the parks, but wanted my feet to be cooler. I didn't think I could wear flip flops for commando park touring.

Someone recommended Merrell's to me and I bought a pair. They were great. I didn't break them in in advance, just put them on for the first time on the way to the park this past October. I now have 3 different pairs in different styles. One is the Siren Lyric, one is the Pesaro, and I don't remember the name of the other one.

Zappos is great because you can order them and they don't charge for shipping either way so it's easy to return if you end up not liking them.

If your feet hurt it can easily ruin your day and your travelling companions since you'll be complaining ;)

Happy shoe shopping.

Noreen

I live in Canada...on Zappo's...a $16 pair of shoes would cost me $32 by the time I pay for shipping and the import fee they tack on. I just check the website :) Not worth it for us Canadians

Hi

Sorry, I didn't realize Zappos wouldn't ship to Canada without charging an arm and leg.

Maybe there is a local store that carries the Merrell sandals and you can try them on and not have to worry about shipping.

I'm pretty sure Nordstrom carries Merrell.

Or maybe the Merrell website directly. I see that they have a Canada section and a store finder.

Thanks
Noreen

Not a problem..thanks for the suggestion. I found a couple stores that carry then here :)

I prefer either Dr. Scholl's sandals or Earth shoes sandals. Love them both. They have very cushy heels!

i used to wear crocs, until i discovered Fit Flops :cool1:

no more little blisters, achy feet, etc. they cost about $50 a pair, but everyone i know who has tried them, loved them! fit flops have a thick bed and good arch support...i wore them for walking miles at a time, and felt i could just keep going and going.....and they're cute!

now i have about 12 pair of dusty crocs (different styles and colors) ready to donate. my 4 pair of flit flops were a much better investment.
:)

Really love my Fit Flops. Wore them during our trip to WDW the last week of December and was SO glad to have nice, comfortable shoes.

Crocs for me! I spent last year's trip in Reeboks and I regretted every minute of it. I was hesitant about Crocs in the beginning because 1) they are ugly and 2) didn't think a plastic shoe could be comfy. After buying a closed-toe pair of Nothinz in the fall, I'm now a convert. I have since purchased a pair of Beach crocs (toned-down color, of course) which will be on my feet when we leave for WDW on the 30th:thumbsup2

I must make a post on my favorite subject " shoes!!!" My biggest weakness. My favorites for parks are sketchers...LOVE THEM. I bought a pair that have a stretchy top, thong kind, with a very thick sole. They are the best things ever. I wore for a week of parks, and never regretted a minute of them.

Also, another favorite shoe is clark....hummm....just dreamy thinking about them.

Those are the ones I love the best. I've worn sneakers too...which are nice for the wild roller costers without bottoms, otherwise you have to take off the flipflops.

Our trip is in March and the first thing I'm planning (beyond having already gotten the trip reserved): WHAT SHOES TO WEAR?

So, what about for kiddos? Our 2 boys, 9 and 6, aren't crazy about flip flops because they find them difficult to keep on their feet, exactly like their father. Does anyone have any shoe recommendations for them?

I can tell you they love their Pumas, Nikes and Sketchers, but I'm not sure how those tennis shoes will hold up to all-day, every-day walking.

As I mentioned, my husband also has difficulty keeping flip flops on, can anybody recommend a good shoe for him?

We went several years ago I convinced my husband to purchase a pair of crocs there at the parks. Ever since he has been a fan and that is what he always wears to the parks. Of course, they are not overly stylish but to me comfort is what matters. I would also sugges them for your children. They sell them all around the parks but you could purchase them cheaper somewhere before you leave.

you need good sandals with arches and a thick sole but you also have to make sure you can ride any ride with them

the search will be hard but when you find them you will be thankfull because i got mine over a year ago and they are still as comfortable as ever

Whatever shoes you choose, try to choose a couple and change up.

I always spring for a pedicure right before going.... one so my toes and feet look good, but two because it gets rid of all the things that can hurt.....

I generally come prepared with both New Balance walking shoes and Crocs. I have Disney Crocs, but I favor the Cayman, since they come in whole sizes and seem to fit me better. When it is really hot I make sure to wear socks with Crocs, they are a great help when your feet are sweating.

If we are going to do some marathon walking, i.e. all over Epcot, I tend to wear the NB, but I have orthotics for those, so your results may vary.

Which ones...It looks like there are different styles..which ones are more comfortable??? Flip flops ,clogs??? I'm on the Website now!
The shipping is very expensive to Canada! Not worth it!!! Even with the sale... $22 shipping for 0-$30 order!!!! OH well..I'll look on Ebay!

backcountry.com has them cheap with free shipping.

backcountry.com has them cheap with free shipping.

Shipping on there for 1 pair of kids Teva's was $14.99 or $40 & $44..only 3 choices and they are all with UPS!!! Not worth it! No free shipping or anything for Canada!
Snce its UPS..you're looking at approx $10 for duty/brokerage fees....so a $10 pair of shoes turns into $40+ from them :(

Keen's for everyone! Bought a pair for myself a couple of years ago and LOVE them. Great because they withstand all terrain. My husband couldn't understand... he now has two pairs of sandals and a pair of 'winter' shoes because I got tired of seeing him with his sandals and wool socks. I'm now looking for a deal on kiddo sizes for our trip coming up the end of Feb/March.

They run a size small in my experience, FYI.

I have to agree with Art 1.
Eccos (specifically the receptor style) are the most comfortable sandal. Both DH and I swear by them. And yes for extra comfort I wear socks with them, though DH does not always.
They are a bit pricey but last forever.
