Need suggestions on what to do in what order and where

Second big trip to WDW. First time AP holders. 2 adults.
We arrive at MCO 11:30 am. We have a rental car (AE).

Once we pick up our luggage, where is National, or where do we go?

My understanding is we should activate our AP prior to ASMo check-in.
DH also wants to pick up his marathon race packet at Wide World of Sports.
Which should we do first -- activate the AP's -- or go to the Sports? And-- go to ASMo prior to the Sports, or after?

Which goes with where should we activate our AP's? We won't be going into MGM until evening (Osborne Lights). Normally we would wait until then, except for checking into ASMo. Or do we just chance they won't ask to see our activated AP's? Guess if they did, then we could run out and get them activated. We do have our plastic unactivated cards. Would that be good enough, if they even ask?

Where would be the easiest place to activate the AP's when we aren't going into a park? And if we do have to activate them at a park, will we have to pay to park, since the AP's won't yet be activated?

So many questions!!! What would you do?

Disnee Dad Says............................................. Get your passes at Downtown Disney Guest Relations, they will say annuall pass on them so you get the free parking, and can check in. You actually activate them at one of the parks but it only takes a minute or two.
