need suggestions : dog headstone

do you have suggestions to put on a male (golden retriever) headstone for an epitaph? needs to be short (5 words or less thereabouts).


don't want to use the " pawprints on our hearts " one.

this dog was my 'former son-in-laws', he died last year but buried in our family pet cemetery ( so far 10 dogs, couple cats, chinchilla, many guinea pigs, rabbits,, & several horses). < we do get the question " uh. have you read the Stephen King book?" every now & then >
I have other headstones on most of the dogs, and asked f s-i-l about one for his dog. this dog meant so much to him he even has his picture tattooed on his arm.
I wanted more than his registerd name & dates, but didn't want anything so sickly sweet . but something in tribute to him, but can't think of anything.
a couple of your mentions are interesting.
any others?
