Hello! First post! My first visit to US/IOA is coming up. I will be in Orlando accompanying someone going to a Conference. We are staying on-site at RPR because I had decided that it would be fun to have FOTL access, etc.

I just found out that I will be 12 weeks pregnant (about 3 months) when we visit. :Pinkbounc
I shouldn't have any problems 'fitting' into the rides as I should only gain about 5 pounds during the first trimester rule. I understand that the big roller coasters and thrill rides will be a definite no-no, but I am trying to figure out how much spinning/jerking around and big drops are involved in the other rides, to help me make an informed decision on whether I want to ride them. I particularly love rides where you get wet and usually these don't have huge drops.
I also love 'rides' where you sit in a bobsled-type and ride down with someone.

Here is the list I have compiled so far:

Definite No-Nos due to excessive spinning, abrupt jerking, movements, big drops, etc.:
Hulk
Spiderman
Storm Force
Dueling Dragons
Pterandon Flyers
Cat in the Hat
Twister
Earthquake

?? (Unsure - please help)
Jurassic Park River Adventure, ??
Popeye & Bluto's Barges, ??
Ripsaw Falls ??
Jaws ??
Mummy ?? (probably a non-no)

OK
Shrek (3D)
Jimmy Neutron
Terminator 2 (3D)
ET

Feel free to add more to the list! TIA!

In my opinion, your list would need to be adjusted a bit.

No-nos:
Hulk
Dueling Dragons
Jurassic Park (big drop at end)
Ripsaw Falls (big drop at end...even bigger than JP)
Storm Force
Spiderman
MIB (due to spins)
Popeyes
Mummy
BTTF

Okays (IMO):
Jaws
Twister (more a "show" than ride)
T2:3-D (ditto)
Jimmy Neutron (request Stationary seating)
Shrek 4-D (may request stationary seating)
Cat in the Hat (may request no-spin)
Horror Makeup Show
Ghostbusters Show
Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue
Street Breakz Show
Blues Brothers Show
ET
Earthquake (I'm guessing...)

I'm sure others will have their own opinion, so I hope you get more replies soon. :)

I agree with FlyFly. Twister, Earthquake, and Jaws would be fine for you to ride. You stand up to watch Twister. It isn't a ride. Earthquake has no abrupt movements and basically you sit and watch what goes on around you. All the shows including Terminator will be fine for you. The seats in Shrek do have some movement and if I were in your shoes, I would still go but get the stationary seating. Jimmy Neutron is a motion simulator and jerks you around quite a bit. You can request stationary seating there as well. Do not ride Back to the Future. It is a very rough motion simulator. Jaws is not a rough ride (more of a scenic tour with a um...interuption..LOL). You might get a little wet on it but it should be fine to ride.

All 3 water rides at IOA (Popeye, Ripsaw Falls, JPRA) do have drops. The Ripsaw and JPRA drops are big ones. You will get spun around alot on Popeyes. You will be more limited at IOA since the coasters are a no no too.

thanks! This is exactly the kind of information that I needed because it is very difficult to tell from the ride descriptions which ones will have a very big drop off and which ones less so, which ones have bad jerky movements, and which ones are more of a show. Thanks !

Twister has a very minor but abrupt tiny drop in the platform at the end. You should still be fine, but if worried at all they have stationary viewing for this too.
