Hey everyone. I am looking for something special for Dh when we go to DW. He is deployed right now and I am looking fir something just for him. He is into sports and manly stuff like that. I am also turning 33 while there in 09 :sad2: :sad1: :scared1: so is there anything fun I could do. TIA

I hope he comes home safe and sound and I thank him for serving!!
Of course so much of the cool stuff costs $$ but...how about--the Richard Petty Driving Exp. or parasailing in Bay Lake or the off-road Segway tour at Fort Wilderness??
I'd like to be 33 again, lol...you could get a massage or some other spa treatments, have tea at the GF(my friend makes her "manly" husband and son take her every trip!). You could even go the the BBB and get all prettied up for the day, glitter and all!! Maybe a romantic dinner to wrap things up?
Hope your planning makes the time go quickly till your honey is home!

Something the two of you could do together is rent a boat on the lake. No driver, just the 2 of you. You can rent sea raycers as well. You can share one or get 2 and race. There is also a fishing excursion and, of course, golf. I believe that golf is now included as one of the days plus options when PI closes.

I hear the segway tour at Fort Wilderness is really neat. They also have archery at FW. Oh, and Typhoon Lagoon has surf lessons. The surf lessons are not offered now while they work on the wave machine, but I am sure it will be fixed by the time your dh gets back. My dh is returning in 09 as well and we are going to WDW when he gets back too. We are renting a pontoon boat for us all.

I just noticed that you are at Fort Polk. SO AM I. Wow, it's a small world. Your hubby is not 4-10 is he? My hubby is a chaplain with the 4-10. PM me and we can chit chat. I live in Palmetto. How cool, another disney person near by. :dance3: Most of my neighbors think that I am crazy for going to WDW so much.

Thanks everyone. That was fast. These are great. I didn't even think of a Spa!!!!!! HMMMM now I will. And the Tea time. Thats perfect. We will have our boys so some of that stuff we can't do. My youngest would never stay with any kind of sitter.

The way my husband drives the speedway would be a waste. Love him to death but he drives like a snail with time to waste.

He loves art so I was thinking about something along those lines. I just got off the phone with a art teacher who also loves disney and she is gonna look into it for me. You guys are great!!!

If he loves art make sure to take him to the Animation Academy at DS, ok it might not be "art", but you do get to draw, lol!!!
