We will be at POR from July 26 to August 4. Please give me your opinion on my ADRs (I need to know I did'nt make too many mistakes):

July 26 5pm - Tusker House
July 27 5:15pm - Spirit of Aloha
July 28 6:30pm - Sci-fi Dine-in
July 29 4pm - Mama Melrose (only ADR I could get for Fantasmic package)
July 30 6:45pm - Garden Grill
July 31 6:30pm - Biergarten
Aug 1 6:30pm - Chef Mickey
Aug 2 6:55pm - Crystal Palace

We have DDP and the rest of the vacation will be fast food. If you have some ideas on the best fast food places in all the parks, please help!!!

Looks like you have a lot of buffets. I like buffets but they do get old after a while.

Maybe replace Biergarten or Garden Grill with a different sit down at Epcot. We loved the morraccan (sp?)restaurant. I can't think of the name right now. It was very good and not to spicy if that is an issue. We also enjoyed Teppan Edo and Corral Reef. I think they are all good at Epcot.

I think your plans look great. You have a lot of character meals, however. So if that is what you like doing, you will have a great time. Enjoy!

I like your ADRs. To answer your question...AK -Flame Tree BBQ, EPCOT-Sunshine Seasons, MK-Pecos Bills or Cosmic Rays, and DHS- Starring Rolls has good pastries and sandwiches. These were my family favorites of the parks.

Your ADRs look good!

For CS

Magic Kingdom - Cosmic Ray's or Columbia Harbor House
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons or Tangierine Cafe
Animal Kingdom - Flame Tree BBQ or Yak & Yeti
Disney's Hollywood Studios - Fairfax Fare or Studio Catering Company

Thank you for your replies.

Concerning the Buffets, my kids are picky eaters, so I'm hoping they will be better for them.

I think the character meals are more for me and my wife. We were so excited when we booked them:woohoo:

Thanks for your fast food ideas, keep them coming. I will probably try only the ones you guys are giving me, I will be missing time to research them.

Your choices look good and you're right about more options for picky eaters at buffets.

Just a couple of bits of info:

Many people like the burger at Sci Fi and even though it's not on the dinner menu, it can be ordered at dinnertime.

Don't know if you're interested in the Finding Nemo musical, but...Since you're doing Tusker House and the menu is the same at lunch and dinner, you will automatically get tickets for the Finding Nemo musical if you ADR lunch at 1:00 -1:40 for the 3:15 show, or someplace around 1:50 to 2:30 for the 5:00 show.

As far as Counter Service:

Magic Kingdom - Cosmic Ray's (see the Sonny Eclipse lounge show)
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons, Kringla (Norway) Boulangerie Patisserie (France)
Animal Kingdom - Flame Tree
Downtown Disney - Earl of Sandwich, Ghirardelli (ice cream)

Have fun!

On your list, we've been to Biergarten, Mama Melrose, Crystal Palace, and Chef Mickey's. My DD (4) ranks Biergarten right up there with Princess meals and above everything else. My DH LOVES Biergarten. It is the one place he wants to go every trip. The In-Laws love Biergarten. My good friend and his whole extended family also love Biergarten. I'd say that's a good choice. Mama Melrose gets some criticism on these boards, but we really like it. We've been there our last 3 trips. As far as the DHS choices go, its our favorite. We've been to Crystal Palace on our last 3 trips too, the restaurant is pretty, the food is good, and the characters are cute. We went to Chef Mickey's for dinner once, May 2009. The food was terrible and the restaurant was really dirty but we had a good server and the characters were really cute. Even, DD( then 3), didn't want to return to Chef Mickeys when we went back to WDW last December. Still, it's just one of those classic Disney places, that everyone probably wants to try at least once. I've heard breakfast is better than dinner.

As far as counter service, we like: 1) AK- Yak and Yeti; 2) Epcot- anyplace in WS ( a lot of people swear by Sunshine Seasons in FW, but all 3 of us hated it- we each got food from a different place, and we all wound up taking a few bites and throwing it away- maybe it was just a bad night?); 3) DHS- I can't recall ever eating counter service there- we usually stuff ourselves at Mama Melrose for a late lunch, and then just eat Mickey Ice Cream bars; 4) MK- We've never found any place we are crazy about for CS at MK. Downtown Disney has a lot of good choices like Wolfgang Puck Express, Earl of Sandwich, etc.

looks good and you've gotten excellent advice from the previous posters. The only things I would add or second are:
1. Eat at the Wolfgang counter services at DTD. The macadamian nut chicken with mashed potatoes is so yummy. (It is a fav of my most picky eater who ordinarily eats plain hot dogs and hamburgers! Pizzas are great for the kids, too!)
2. You must get a creat-your-own-treat at Goofy's at DTD. Was a DDP snack last time we were there. Even when you are desserted-out it is worth it even OOP.
3. Cooke's in DTD or York? (mind is going) CS in Epcot's England are good for fish and chips. Greasy, but different. Cooke's you can get shrimp and scallops, as I recall, too. And a fried Snickers, I think. Did I mention greasy? Good to split for a taste, anyway!!

Have a great time!!!
