Need some prayers and advice

A very close friend of mine was admitted to the hospital on Friday with pneumonia. He is not doing well and his condition is very grave. They don't know if he will survive.

I would like to do something for his wife and parents since they spend almost every moment with him. I don't want to send flowers but rather something that may help them. Food, water, anything but I'm looking for ideas

Please pray for him and his family. Any advice you can give will be appreciated. He is only 30 years old.

Non perishable food. The edible arrangements are lovely, but unless they can pretty much eat it all in one day, it's going to get yucky and they'll end up throwing a lot of the fruit away.

Protein bars, goldfish crackers, pretzels, maybe some cookies, soft drinks are good. Also, consider giving them $$ so they can buy a few meals in the cafeteria without dipping intot heir own pocet...that can get expensive. Also, consider paying for some parking for them.

I would see if you can start an account or get a gift card to the hospital cafeteria or give them gift cards to local take-out places. Gas cards are nice if they have to drive in to the hospital every day. If you are going to visit bring in several rolls of quarters for the vending machines.

So sorry to hear about your friend. I had the viral form 2 years ago, and was very sick in the hospital. I hope that his condition improves!
I would suggest restauarnt/ takeout gift cards or gasoline gift cards (if out of town).
Also, some new magazines or books, if you know their tastes.
