Need some pointers.

Going next December, renting DVC points, I need to decide where we are going to stay. ME 38, DH39,DD12,DD10. Have stayed at OKW and at All Star Music, but we are going at Christmas this time and I can't decide, I want to stay somewhere that the Christmas atmosphere in evident. We liked OKW, but we said we were going to try someplace different everytime. We like Magic Kingdom the best, then MGM Studios. AK is OK, and epcot, well, we weren't crazy about, it has some high points, but, just OK. We know that we are going to Chef Mickeys one night, and want to try LeCellier. Anybody with points of view on the resort. Thought we might try WLV, someone said, don't do AKL because it is out of the way, long bus rides to everything. Poly and GF would be nice, but a little out of our price range for this trip. Thanks in advance.

I would say that VWL is probably the most decorated of all the DVC resorts with a HUGE tree. Animal Kingdom Lodge also has some nice decorations with a giant tree ... but the decorations are more "natural". BCV and BWV usually have giant chocolate displays with other decorations. All the displays mentioned are in the main lobby of the hotel section, although the villas are also decorated. I don't know about SSR, but I would suspect that since it is a condo-type resort it would be a lot like OKW.

FWIW, I don't think that AKV is too far "out of the way" ... then again I bought points at AKV .

I would go for BC (first choice) or BWV. The Boardwalk is always a lot of fun and the resorts are awesome! We stayed at BC in July and it was awesome! We could walk to Epcot and MGM. Epcot was right outside our room and over the bridge. It was so close I could hear the music from Epcot and my teenagers loved the freedom to go anywhere around there and the atmosphere. MGM was a little farther walk, but a boat ride was available also. The Epcot area resorts will always be my favorites because there is sooooo much to do and see!
