We were there on Thanksgiving last year. My 3 yr old loved the place. There's lots of live country music and dancing with the characters -- crowded a bit on the dance floor. Although this is not the place to get autographs, we got 3 and were not being pushy. Somehow the characters find time to give individual attention to children at the tables -- but don't try it on the dance floor, there it is a fast pace. They also did some line dancing. A cowboy did a lot of rope tricks and interacted with some children - I thought that part was too long but the children paid attention the whole time. Food was OK, but I expected the turkey to be real oven roasted turkey, not something that seemed processed or out of a can. Beer (bud/bud light) and wine included in the price. We didn't do this, but Ft. Wilderness also has pony rides until 5pm in that same area.
If you go, go EARLY before your scheduled time.... I think they actually start letting people in about 1/2 hour before the reservation time.
