help! We had all our dinning booked but had to change around dates and now am needing some help! It is me, my DD(7), and my DS (8). we will be on the basic DDP for 19 days. We have :

Chef Mickeys
Sci fi
Tusker House Character Breakfast
Boma Dinner
HDDR
Crystal palace dinner
Le Cellier
CRT breakfast

My DD loves breakfast so we are adding Ohanas, Cape May Cafe and Boma for breakfast for sure. this leaves 6 more needed!! we do a lot of stuff at the resorts (have pirate cruise and wonderland tea party booked) so we are into any restaurant even if not at a park. I am thinking about Wispering Canyon (we liked it before). Not a fan of 50's Prime time.
I had thought about not doing the DDP for part of the trip since we are at 3 separate resorts but with only one adult and 2 kids it is cheaper to just do it.(won't have a car). I also like just paying for it and being done. KWIM?
Well, I look forward to your responses! I am so excited...have been reading all the food reports for ideas! thank you!!:cloud9:

We love Sci-fi, but be aware of the fact that they show 50's monster movies, which can scare some kids.

I recommend that you add Wispering Canyon to your list. Breakfast is my favorite there, but all are good.

Please report back on Tusker House. We haven't been since breakfast movie over to there.

thanks-we have done sci fi before and they both said they wanted it again. I am excited to try tusker house. is the WCC breakfast in a skillet too? as you can see we do like our breakfast meals!!

definitely do Whispering Canyon, we've only done dinner and we really enjoyed it. Have you tried Biergarten at Epcot? We are trying it this year, it sounded like a lot of fun. How about Coral Reef, we enjoyed this meal. The steak was great and our dd's loved the aquarium. We are also going to try Ohana dinner and 1900 Park Fare this year.

How about 50s Prime Time. I have 2 boys and they love this restaurant. :thumbsup2 The food is good and the atmoshphere is really fun! Another is Kona at the POlY.

We've done 50's prime time twice and didn't like it. We haven't ever had a good character server...it seemed all the tables around us did though..
We are going to do Ohonas for breakfast so I am not sure about another poly restaurant. (although-have done breakfast and dinner at Kona and it is fab!-I always buy a few bags of Kona blend to take home with me!)...been thinking Coral Reef...don't think my DD would like the menu at Beirgarten...

My kids have been to Sci-Fi a few times and they are still very small...They were not scared at all by the movies...They sat so quietly and watched but never had a bad reaction to anyhing they saw...

I agree that Whispering Canyon would be a great addition to your list... Our family loves it there...

We went to the new Donald breakfast at Tusker this past Jan.... We had been to the other several times and loved it... We were excited to try the new one... IMO there are some good and some bad changes.... We like that there are many more food choices and that the food is set up in stations, rather than one longer table.... We like the African-style atmosphere...WE enjoyed the parade with noise makers at about 45 minutes into the meal...The addition of Daisy is nice and the characters are dressed so cute in their safari gear... We like that it is right near the safari because it is great to go in for breakfast at 8:00 and be right there for when the safari opens at 9:00....We do not like that the tables are very close together... They are so close that it is hard to interact with the characters.... Mickey's butt was right up against the table next to us making it impossible for him to bend to the children to take a pic...Taking pics in general was difficult because we were so close to the tables around us... The place is also very loud...The noise was too much to take at times....We will go back even with some of the not so good changes...

I would also recommend looking into the Garden Grill in Epcot of lunch or dinner... Character interaction is great.... Food is served family-style, it is simple, fresh, and good...

Another is 1900 Park Fare at the GF... Maybe an early breakfast before the pirate cruise???...They also have dinner there.

update...i have now added Boma, Ohonas, and Cape May Cafe for breakfast.
I was thinking about the 1900 Park Fare one but the breakfast characters are the Mad hatter and alice and they are doing a tea party with them this trip.

They also have Tigger and Pooh and Mary Poppins is usually there to greet you.

How about Coral Reef ? Another place to try would be the Japanese one in EPCOT. Sorry but I'm not sure of the new name.:confused3

I would say add Coral Reef, the food is amazing and the large aqaurium is entertaining for kids. 1900 Park Fare for dinner is good too, your dd may enjoy it since it has Cinderella and the bad stepsisters are hilarious. Your list looks great and wow 19 days, must be nice:thumbsup2 What resorst are you staying at?

Do you have an AP? Have you priced the difference in DDP and using the DDE card? We found it a better value and more flexible to use the DDE card than DDP.

And can I just say, 19 days?!?!? I am jealous!

Thanks-we are Animal Kingdom Villas (Savannah View) for 6 nights, Beach Club Villas for 5 nights, and Old Key west for 8 nights. I am really excited!!

Also-thanks for all the advice so far....please keep it coming....I do believe I will be adding WCC...I wish there were more choices at Old Key West
