Need some help with Tonys

Hey all,

I really need some help with choosing a time to eat at Tony's in the Magic Kingdom. We are going to be there on a Saturday night with Spectro at 7:00. We hope to get a patio table and we also plan to order a cake from the cake department to celebrate our son's birthday. I made my ADR for 5:30 (as had been suggested in other posts) and my son's birthday is noted on the reservation.

Here's my question though: would 6:00 be better? Tony's opens at 5:00 and I figure by the time we get there at 5:30 all the patio tables will be taken. If we get there at 6:00, that would be the time that people (as in the ones on the patio) would be finishing up.

If we do keep 5:30, will they let us wait for a patio table? (I heard that R&C at EPCOT won't allow waiting for a patio table for IllumiNations)

We will be in the park earlier in the day, should I stop at Tony's and mention we have reservations and a cake for a birthday celebration and would like a patio table?

Should I keep 5:30 or make it for 6:00?

Augh! I am so confused!

Did you mention to them that you wanted a patio table when you made the ressie? Perhaps they could advise which time might be better. If anything I would suggest going early that day and letting them know. Hopefully they would be willing to help with your request.
